Hate to hear that about the AD - if it is true.

Thought he had been doing a good job.

I have been on record plenty of times on this forum with opinions of things that Wallace does that I do not agree with. However, I have a problem when sources like KSR and other various Twitter feeds that have a wide audience report things based on conjecture, innuendo, and rumors. Wallace, or any other coach, does not deserve that.  The race to be first has causes quite a bit of inaccurate reporting in many different areas.

One of the reasons I have so much respect for The Guru and BluegrassPreps is the fact that if he reports it, I can trust it.

I checked that page and looks like post was deleted because can't find it so might be bogus rumor.

Corey Bosemer is a social media muckraker trying to pose as a news outlet. I've always been tickled by the fact that his social media handle "Football of Kentucky DBA" is an English language syntax hack-job for the abbreviated legalese term "Doing Business As."  Way back when Corey started his social media news-outlet venture, he had intended to change his personal Twitter account handle to "Corey Bosemer, DBA Football of Kentucky" but he couldn't manage to figure that out correctly and he ended up with his current blunder of a name.

Did anyone ever watch the Kroll Show on Comedy Central? I swear...the guy is a real-life version of Bobble Bottleservice, a.k.a. Bobby Bottleservice. He looks, speaks, and sounds like him.

As much as I dislike St. Xavier for all sorts of personal and business reasons, this whole topic simply does not "ring true" to me. St. Xavier staff may be several things, but stupid is not one of them. Until I see video/audio proof of a coaching change and/or change in administration, this whole thread is bunk.

All KSR reported was the player rankings were sent out with the academic reports. Did the player ratings not get sent out?

They didn't say anything on the radio about anyone losing their job.

How all of this will play out... don't know.

What I do know.... Kevin Wallace is an excellent football coach and an even better man. He has had an historic career. What I learned helping him the fall of 2022 has made me a much better coach at Anderson Co. and has added hours to my work week, especially inseason. Film breakdown of an opponent's defense is about half what it was before the season I did some work for him.  His perspective on the game of football has helped me look at things in a better/different way.

I will admit, if St. X was on my schedule, I would be hoping they get a new coach to give my team a better chance to win.

One last observation... most of the time, others are not jealous or envious of losers or failures.  Kevin has a boatload of folks that wish they had enjoyed his success.  That is a pretty good indication of what he has accomplished.

His bosses at St. X have control over if he has a job or not.

NO ONE has control over who Kevin Wallace is and what he has accomplished. NO ONE.

This is an excellent and 100% factual post. Kevin is a great coach (rings and records speak for themselves) and a class man.

The AD has resigned. Check around that info is out there.

The email WAS sent out with said reports. This was known before the report on KSR about it.

For a place that’s usually so buttoned up, the X men have seemingly dropped the ball this week.

There are a LOT of folks over there that have their hands in things that they shouldn’t.

Coach Wallace is one of the best both on and off the field!

Well said @ChiefSmoke- Wallace is a great person and we know he’s a great coach.

Was an email sent? Yes. The “reports” being claimed is not accurate.

I do admit, I thought St X should have run the ball more last Friday.  They had some success running for 3 or 4 yards.  Would have been a good idea to try to just pound it at BG for one full series and see what happened.  Oh well.

Thanks for the clarification. The posting of erroneous information based on conjecture is just plain wrong.

At this point, if I were a St. X parent/booster/alumnus, I think the head that needs to be called for is the President. It has become a situation with an evident loss of institutional control.

It sounds to me like the President of St. Xavier is cleaning house.  From X's website:

Paul Colistra
PRESIDENT
502.637.4712
[email protected]

Paul was named the third President of Saint Xavier High School in February 2020. He grew up in a Catholic school community led by the Christian Brothers and infused with the charism of the Order. Paul is as alumnus of La Salle College High School, Pennsylvania’s leading Catholic day school for boys.

Paul has had a distinguished career in advancement and has successfully engineered several multi-million-dollar capital campaigns. In his most recent role as President of West Catholic Preparatory High School, Paul put into action his skills as spiritual leader, academic overseer, and institutional fundraiser. In a few short years, he led a total transformation of a once struggling school to a thriving inner-city high school recognized for its diversity and rigorous academic program. Prior to joining West Catholic Prep, Paul served successfully in various advancement positions at La Salle College High School.

Paul holds a B.S. in Applied Psychology with a concentration in Organizational Communication from Ithaca College in New York and a M.S. in Educational Leadership from St. Joseph’s University. Paul and his wife Colleen have two young children.

What's missing from that bio and is most relevant to our discussion here is what happened with the athletics at his previous posts?

Those who think academic excellence and athletic excellence don't go hand in hand are sadly mistaken. I am not saying that is the case here, but it is the question I am asking.
