Any talk of a new HC ???

Asking for a friend.

I am told players prefer former U of L star and current assistant Bilal Powell as next head coach. The source states head coach announcement will be made in February.

  • We just checked the list against ours. Interestingly, DeSales football currently has each and every one of those players listed as a 10 out of 10. (Go Colts!)

  • It is ridiculous for Twitter feeds or radio shows to report stuff like this without verification.    Once it is out on those places, it becomes fair game for commentary on forums such as this.

Makes sense of announcement time frame. But I guess that would mean it would be an internal hire or someone currently not coaching.

From a timing standpoint, it makes sense.  He moved over to St. X from CAL before this year & his son will be an 8th grader next year.

St. X potentially going with a big-name former NFL player with little to no coaching experience and zero head coaching experience.

It seems odd, but this feels like deja vu...

I'd be surprised if they hire coach with no experience. I think Coach Baisch at Lex Catholic would be good candidate. When he left St. X for Lex. Cath, I thought he would be back when Wallace retired.

Coach Baisch would be an awesome pick! Great coach and an even better leader of young men!

Was less than ideal last time.

Also, I don’t think it is a good idea to announce anything until after next season. That is not fair to Wallace or the coaching staff for next season.
