Kentucky 81 Texas A&M 69

Final. Whew that game took 2 hours and 36 minutes. I guess it is better to win a long game than lose one. lol

Refs must have thought they got paid per whistle blows in that one.

Another great game by Robinson but another solid team win for Kentucky. Everyone seemingly contributed tonight, even a couple of 3's by Perry.

56 total FT's and 45 fouls and 2 T's.

Easily could've been 65+ free throws but A&M shot them poorly all night and UK shot them poorly in the second half.

Also, I'd completely forgot that Jaxson Robinson started his college basketball career at Texas A&M.

Ick.  I recorded it, but there's no way I am watching that.

I thought this was UK's most complete game of the season. In the Mississippi State game, I can't say they played great, they were just shooting flames out of their rear. Against A&M, it was a solid effort across the board. I was impressed with Kentucky's ability to control the glass, especially against a scrappy rebounding team. On balance, A&M's best player was unavailable, so I can't completely lose my mind.

The irony of the game length is that we didn't really have much of the FT shooting contest at the end, with multiple timeouts and overcoaching. It was going at snail's speed well before that. Two hours in, and they were only halfway through the second half.

I started watching this game at 8:20...FF commercials and halftime and some slow down times and caught up to live broadcast at 9:20 ?

Great win last night! Even though A&M was without its best offensive player, I was really happy overall just with the defensive intensity. Offense was very solid too. Definitely one of their best all around games this year IMO.

I am impressed with Kentucky's 6 quad 1 wins so far. They should have 8 with those losses to Georgia and Ohio State, but a 6-3 record in Quad 1 is pretty good. It is also crazy that 10 of their remaining games are Quad 1 games and all but 1 are Quad 2 or better. The SEC is so talented this year.

Obviously replacing Wade Taylor is tough but his backup Phelps had scored 34 and 24 in games without Taylor. Kentucky didn't exactly shut him down (he scored 21), but he was 8-19 from the field and only 2-9 from three point range. Solid defensive performance.
