Even though the teams didn't play each other twice. If they would have seeded it would have been. 1 Perry Central 3-1 2 Hazard 2-1 3 Leslie Co. 3-2 4 Buckhorn 0-4 This is based on winning Pct. against each other in District play.

A big win for Mason, but I'm sure Pendleton Co. will recover. The 10th Region can expect a great Regional Tournament.

A good win for Lee Co. & Congratulations to Gilbert on being able to return & play.

Perry Central is the better team & if they play up to their capabilities they will win the game. They haven't always done so though & this gives Hazard an opportunity. I look for a very close game with the team that scores last coming away with a win. Perry Central by 2.

Knott's young players are really playing well.

Robert Paul Amis and Kenny Brandenburg are much better shooters, hitting over 40% from 3 point range.

It seems a lot of regions are evenly matched.

Scott County, Elizabethtown, or one of the Louisville Schools. I just can't see South Laurel being able to repeat. If they do they are truly a very special team. Repeat - That just may be the motivator they need.

I'll agree he is a good player, but I stand by the rest of what I said. 2nd tier was supposed to be 2nd five, but I wasn't able to go back and edit it. He is somewhere around the top 5th or 6th player in the region. He does receive some unbiased support but most of it on here has been biased. That is why I don't respond to people that their opinions mean nothing. I do however consider your opinion as legitimate just as is mine. After all Eastern KY asked for everyones opinion, if they don't want to hear it or are offended by it they shouldn't ask.

I don't know a whole lot about Leslie, but just having him able to play would have to be a psychological boost to the rest of their team. Without knowing the extent of his injury only a Leslie Co. Insider could say how much he can help performance wise. Personally I don't see how he could come back and get into shape well enough to be effective after suffering a broken foot. The type of player he is he needs to be 100% physically. He is young and strong so it may be possible if the injury wasn't too serious. I wish him the best, he is an excellent player.

Jackson City has made a believer out of me. I look for them to give PCC all they can handle on 2-24-06. An upset is not out of the question.

Owsley's talent is much better than their record. The Neely kid is one of the better point guards in the region if he plays next year. They just need someone that can pull them together as a team and get them to believe. Just a little success will be a huge confidence builder. It will always be an uphill battle for the smaller schools like Owsley, but they have talented kids if they can regain some confidence and develop the proper mental approach. I hate to see any team suffer through what they have had to endure this year. Just an opinion from an outsider's perspective.

Knott Co. - Morton Combs Athletic Complex

It will take a huge effort from any team to knock Leslie Co. off from here on out. If Hubbard is able to come back and provide a little more depth they may just be the team to beat to get a trip to Rupp.
