Leslie Co 70 Buckhorn 42

Featured Replies

Leslie looked like the team they should this time of year. Way to go Eagles!!!

WOW!!! I would have never thought this kind of point spread, or at least by this much. Is this the same Buckhorn team that almost beat PCC in Hazard?????

The first half was pretty close, after the half Leslie didn't look back though.

Leslie Co. showing that they should be the #1 in the 14th!!!

I'm telling you all, Leslie County is the team to beat in the 14th. They play extremely aggressive basketball, and the coach can just keep throwing players at you.

Same team, but different heart. After the Lee Co. loss, they seem to have quit. John Noble has worked these boys' tails off, but the boys aren't doing it on the floor. Hopefully they can get things turned back around before the tournament. Leslie just out played Buckhorn in every aspect of the game.

Very surprise but Leslie may be the team to watch in the 14th!! Leslie, PCC & Lee appear to be the main front runners in the 14th.

It will take a huge effort from any team to knock Leslie Co. off from here on out. If Hubbard is able to come back and provide a little more depth they may just be the team to beat to get a trip to Rupp.

Speaking of Hubbard, He got his cast off today & will be working hard to get back in the playing mode to help the Eagles go as far as possible.

I agree, Hubbard's return would be the key.

How much will he be ready to help in your opinion?

I don't know a whole lot about Leslie, but just having him able to play would have to be a psychological boost to the rest of their team. Without knowing the extent of his injury only a Leslie Co. Insider could say how much he can help performance wise. Personally I don't see how he could come back and get into shape well enough to be effective after suffering a broken foot. The type of player he is he needs to be 100% physically. He is young and strong so it may be possible if the injury wasn't too serious. I wish him the best, he is an excellent player.

Hubbard is probably the hardest working player on the team(when he doesn't have a broken foot). Even with his cast on he would still shoot all practice long off of one foot. He will be well in shape to help Leslie win, he will bring defensive intensity, and bring teams that play zone on Leslie a step or two back out and help open it up for the big men.

Not to take anything away from Leslie in anyway what so ever, but I've been thinking. Maybe, just maybe, Buckhorn did not want to show Leslie everything they had knowing that they will go head to head once agian in couple weeks in the 56th. Just a speculation, no one get fired up here, Leslie may just be playing great ball. This is only a thought?????

We are in the 54th and Buckhorn may have been holding some things back, but they still lost by 28.
