I agree with Augger the problem for the owls is at the point guard position. They can't find no one with the ability to get the ball up the floor and handle the pressure without turning it over. Daniel Neely was the last good guard Owsley had! Also if owsley can't get the ball to Mcintosh and Reed in the middle they are not going to far very well. The Post is the bread and butter right now!

Last season was the first full season Mcintosh has played at the varsity level!!!

The Owls Defense hurt them in this game. They made way to many errors in this game. IMO that was the deciding factor in the game.

I think it will come down to who brings their bats with them. Owsley has Neely & Congelton they can pitch.

Lee Co. & Hazard are the teams to beat in the tournament. Owsley Co. is a team that could very well beat both Lee Co. & Hazard. Some other teams to watch out for is Buckhorn & Jackson City. But It looks like it could come down to the 56th district!!!

I don't think the talent level has dropped so much. As the style of play and the way the games are being called. IMO they are not enough fouls being called in the paint area. Lot of banging around in the middle! Also the teams styles of play are total based on d-fense that no one can hardly score anymore. Look at some of the scores in the state tourney....... Walt Allen had a great career at South Laurel. State Championship & State MVP! You can not ask for more!

Thomas Coleman will be a good player for some years to come. 6'8" and has great back to the basket skills. His hands are not the greatest in the world but with time that will get better. Just a sophmore!:thumb:

With Britt, Anderson, & Hood in the mix for Warren Central they will be right behind Scott Co. for the top team coming into next year!

Come on June Buchanan will be good next year and could possibly win the 14th but they are not going to be the best team in the state next year.

I think it was a great idea to have the East/West Game in between the semi-finals & finals of the state tourney! how about trying to play it in Rupp next year!

Mason Co. will be dangerous with Darius Miller growing older and more experience!
