Issues are fine! I think its just funny that you don't think calling someone a "muslim" is an attack. Or saying they are not "patriotic". Or saying they were sworn in using the "Koran". Or saying he'll eat dinner with "terrorist". Man on here have justified Cunninghams remarks as it's just his Middle name, what's the big deal?? Well these are just FACTS so whats the big deal??

We have thousands of war hero's. That doesn't mean they are qualified to be President. The President is the Commander in Chief but not SOLEY commander in chief.

McCain was also born in Panama on a military base. Due to his parents both being U.S. citizens, he received different treatment to be considered a "native-born citizen", even though he wasn't born in the U.S. This is good for him since, only "native-born citizens" can run for President.

This is how I have felt with the "propaganda" towards Obama over the past year which had nothing to do with politics but most on here do not oppose it.

Here's some help: It's from the Biography Channel. I know most will think MSNBC is biased so I found other sources. It's not that hard since everything that was posted is common knowledge & there are numberous McCain interviews on all of it.

No one disputed his heroism and bravery but that was before 1973. Let's fastforward some 35 years and discuss his judgements since. Didn't an affair ruin Guiliani's chances of being President?? Didn't McCain do the same thing?

There have been several news sources that have done previous reports, the most recent being "Meet the Candidates: John McCain" on MSNBC last week with McCain interviews and news footage. I had to double check some dates by most John McCain biography stuff.

I have to this point tried NOT TO do ATTACK politics but it appears that Conservatives do not care to. I decided to make this post once posters said that Barack Hussein Obama must have tough skin to be President. He cannot change his name, his color or his father but many have attacked those things in very intimate details, nonetheless. This is the point to this thread!! IT IS OKAY TO ATTACK BARACK OBAMA because he is bi-racial, his father is from Kenya or his middle name is Hussein (things he cannot change) BUT IT IS NOT OKAY TO ATTACK JOHN SYNDEY MCCAIN. Barack Obama has been attack for "supposedly" being a Muslim, for being bi-racial, for his father, for his wife's remarks, for his middle name, etc. Are these not personal???

I know many of you may not want to here it but here's some information on John McCain. 1936 - Born 1958 - Graduated 894 out of 899 in Naval Academy 1958 - Despite his less than stellar Academy record, he was commission to go to Air Flight School. I could speculate that his grandfather and father who were Admirals could have helped. 1959 - Had a reputation as a partier, drove a Corvette & dated an exotic dancer. 1965 - John married Carol Shepp who was previously married to one of his classmates. His daughter Syndy was born in 1966, when John was 30. 1967-1973 - P.O.W. years 1973-1979 - Was an adulterer with several women including Cindy Hensley. John's wife Carol had a car wreck in 1969 which caused her medical problems and she gained substantial weight. John divorced Carol in 1980. John does recognize this as a mistake, he was over 40 years old at the time. 1980 - Divorced in April and was married in May. Cindy was 18 years younger (John was 43 and she was 26). John's daughter Sydney and adoptive children did not attend the wedding but did reconcile years later with him and Cindy. 1980's - Keating 5 in which John McCain was found to have improperly used his office to benefit to Charles Keating's Savings and Loan Association. Keating had donated over $112,000 to McCain from '82 to '87. Cindy and her dad had invested over $300,000 in Keating's business. The Keating 5 attempted to influence Federal regulators when Keatings business venture failed and left many investors broke. 1989- Cindy McCain abuses pain killers and even stole pills from her own AVMT, non-profit organization (yes this is a federal offense before you ask). She escaped prison by getting counseling and treatment. 1992 - Tom Gosinski, director of gov't affairs for AVMT, discovered the drug theft. 1993 - Gosinski was fired & notified of the theft. 1993 - McCain reached an agreement to re-imburse and get Cindy treatment but to also limit anything to become public. 2000- Allegations of improper benefits & relationships to benefit lobbyists 2002 - After the Enron scandel & 9/11, McCain-Feingold was finally passed 60-40, despite Republican opposition (48 Dems, 11 Rep & 1 Ind voted YEA; 38 Rep & 2 Dems voted NEA) While many on here opposed the NY Times add, there are many things in McCain's past where he does not use good judgement with women (many people may say, "once an adulterer, always one"). He has also used his position and power to benefit himself and business associates. Remember the old say, "Don't throw stones in a glass house".

Health care & medicine is GREAT but the cost is ENORMOUS!! Again, another off base comment & several posts after do not address 90% of my post. Do "conservative" or just RTS think people play no impact on environment. Do you really think our world population going from 700 million people for most of history to billions doesn't make a difference to our environment. Hunters & gathers did not harm the ozone but I still find it is naive to think that aerosal cans, car emissions (how many cars are there in the world?), factory pollution (smoke stacks), etc. doesn't harm the environment as RTS has stated.

This isn't the argument. We need cars, we need power but to suggest they do not contribute to global warming is naive. To think humans have no impact is naive. This is typical spin into something other than the argument. The argument was that "human being" play no part in global warming not about nuclear plants. I know its hard not to spin it to your favor but try. Do you not think humans play some part in environmental pollution. If not, go drink the water out of the KY or OH river.

Over 1 million donors (1,006,000). In 2004, Bush, Kerry and all the rest had around 2.4 million TOTAL in primaries & general. I don't expect you conservative to believe it. I mean it's just numbers!! How about they start putting facts that aren't numbers. Democratic turnouts are enormous in the primaries, Obama has doubled the states to Hillary and has won 11 in a row. I know you don't want to believe it but try to find a way to "spin this".

Cunningham also said McCain "threw him under the bus". I guess that was some more of his schtik.

This is a very naive position to think that nuclear plants, hundreds of millions of cars, etc have zero impact on our enviornment, at all. Up until 1800, there were very few factories & zero nuclear plants. Up until 1900, travel was done by horse. The world's population keeps doubling, tripling & quadrupling b/c of better health care & medicine. To think these add people & polutants have no impact, is just a very naive position.

As far as I know, most of this debate about "middle names" has come from the media & John McCain. John McCain brought it up first with his apology. Then, the media has reported it (extensively). Barack's staff has discussed it but the majority has come from the media.

The statement was "more and more of our imports are from other countries." This statement is wrong since you cannot get "more" when "ALL" our imports come from other countries.

This is correct. That's why W's quote "more and more imports come from overseas." This was actually misquoted on several occassions as "Our vast majority of imports come from overseas." Either way, it is not good wording on a very middle school economics term.
