Big Game Player
Not surprising, Coldiron never lets teams get out of Stanton with a easy win.
TheFrontRowFan
Well - I owe Professor a big "you called it" on this one. This game should be to Powell the same deal as Owsleys game with Knott County. Take pride in the fact that you were there with a good team, even though you didnt pull out the W. Even though you didnt get the W you can take consolation that you are able to compete with them. Ecspecially since the tournaments are coming up. With Estill losing to Breathitt and Powell playing close to PCC. Powell could slip past Estill in the first round of the 56th.

It will be interesting to see which of the two teams handles their situation better. Estill has been the better team throughout the season but now have slipped up as of late....and Powell has now came close to defeating the Region's top ranked team. Will it take Powell's fortunes or Estill's misfortunes to wake one of them up? Only one way to find out. March 1. Beatyville. BadCat
Did I read line score correctly-Powell had 20 point lead at half? What happened?
Big Red Machine
Powell was ahead by 24 early in the 3rd qtr. PCC stepped up the defensive pressure and got back in the game. PCC was down by 10 entering the 4th qtr. Amis, Bailey played huge after 1/2 time. Defensive stars were Stacy and Willis. I believe that PCC played 11 players and the bench played well the 2nd half. This was a team victory, for many players contibuted in the victory.
zx-Ray
Just checked out the Lexington Herald and the linescore shows Perry Central scored 57 points in the 2nd half. Perry Cent. 12 17 28 29 - 86 Powell Co. 24 25 15 20 -
KIDS FAN
Great game. Powell did lead by as much as 24 in the first half but PCC played zone much of the first half. Full couurt pressure in second half was to much for Powell to handle. They can't take care of the basketball and rattle easily. Not a very good officiated game on either side. Both coaches either kicked chairs or slammed into scorers both without getting the T. Powell should have never lost a 24 point lead. PCC seemed to under estimate Powell until the wakeup call came in the second half. Stacy put on a defensive exhibition and Amis had a big game with 27 I believe. Powell had the game winner go around and around the cylinder before popping out.
