I wasn't there, but I was told that the young Bulldogs were very intimidated, and their play showed. They didn't score their 20th point until there was under a minute to play in the third quarter.

I expected this score to be worse. Hazard is young and South Laurel is, well south laurel.

Playing the top team in the state can be intimidating, usally thats when Big Time Players shows up and go head first into the challenge and lead thier team to victory(or in this case just a good showing).

Give South's Defense a lot of credit in this one, because they do play it unlike a lot of teams now days. They won the State last year by playing Defense and controlling each game.

It was a win for South and for Hazard sounds like it was just long night.

No team in the mountains can play with South Laurel. Not even close.

Hazard is still one of the favorites to win the 14th.

Wow! Hazard didn't just get thumped, they got pounded. They were behind by 40 after 3 quarters, this could easily have been a 50 point victory for SL. Did Hazard play their subs the 4th quarter or did they stick with the starters?

No they didnt play there subs until just a minute or so to go.As bad as it looks on paper it was even worse in person.They could have easily won by 60.
