As I said before I pick Knott, great teamwork, great talent, great sportsmenship.

They play with heart and determination. Plus they have home court advantage. This will be JBS's first matchup with KCC as I believe JBS cancelled a prior matchup in the season.

I completely agree with you L C Bobcat. The Patriots have what it takes to win. They all get along and have started playing TEAM BALL. It is pretty hard to beat this calibre of team on the home floor. GO PATS! :dancingpa :dancingpa

KCC has a very nice gym too. The Patriots do play together, and even though they have some all stars on their team, they share the ball well. They have a bench that plays well too.

If Knott Centrals's Pike plays like he did in the OT win over Owsley, the Patroits wll win. He was a man in that game, grabbing rebound after rebound, and chasing down many loose balls. I listened to it on the Owsley radio station and the announcers were going on and on about his play. He had a ton of offensive putbacks for KCC.

Well, speaking as an Owsley County fan, I'm glad he is a senior.

This will be a good game. But I think that KCC is playing better as of lately so I will have to pick KCC.

I noticed Knott played neither JBS or Cordia. Why would that be? That would seemingly be 2 great games within a few miles

According to JBS, Knott wouldnt schedule them. Knott says JBS cancelled. I'll believe KCC.

I think KCC will win this match-up I haven't seen jbs play but they're all I have heard about. I know KCC is good and will be tough to handle at home.

On paper this is a pretty even match-up. No question about it JBS is a team of the future with all the young starters they have. This team could potentially win 2 or 3 regional titles in a row in future years. Will it happen this year? This region is pretty wide open, everyone has beaten everyone. This is a big rivalry, inter county and all, KCC, from what I understand refuses to play JBS in the regular season, why I'm not sure. Close game, I'll take the shooters. JBS by 2.

I'm not sure myself exactly why they're not playing, but I was told that Knott was upset that some of the 8th grade kids in the county system decided to enroll their freshmen year at June Buchanan. That is what I heard. Maybe they thought the kids had been "encouraged" to enroll, I don't know. I think some of it was over the Collins kid. So Knott decided to not schedule the Crusaders is what I was told.

It has nothing to do with the Collins kid. He has been at JBS sence first grade. It had to do with JBS winning the grade school tournament. Awoman from CCE was taken out by the State Police for talking and acting bad.

Despite my dislike for the administration of JBS and how business is played out in the "little kingdom" of Pippa Passes, I have to say I think JBS will defeat KCC and a regional title is not out of the question in the coming years ahead.

 

Just for the sake of Dr. Naismith, strengthen your schedule and become a true threat. JBS could do a lot of East KY and the 14th region by scheduling tougher teams next season and the season after next and winning a few games.
