  1. John Yancy Amis was one of them and Jacob Watts was possibly another, but I'm not sure who the third one was. Deron Scott Amis is currently out with an injury.
  2. MountainWarrior must think either Morgan, Day, or wells is just a Jr.
  3. Owsley Co. in a close one as they start earning some respect.
  4. Hazard by 8, they are playing very well at this time.
  5. June Buchanan gets a big win and defeats Perry Central 58 to 54.
  6. Franklin Co. is highly regarded by the people who invited them to participate in the Kentucky Prep Classic and by knowledgeable basketball minds if you understand what I’m saying. They were rated preseason #7 in the 11th Region by the Cats Pause (Keith Taylor of the Winchester Sun). They have a starting front line of 6-7, 6-5, 6-4, 2 very good starting guards, a good bench and are athletic. They were also rated #28 in the State, #7 in the 11th Region by Dave Cantrall prior to the game with Perry Central (Top 10% of all KY High School Teams). They are currently rated #41 in the State, #9 in the 11th Region by Dave Cantrell and #35 in the State, #8 in the 11th Region by the Litkenhous Ratings (Top 14% of all KY High School Teams). The only team from the 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, or 16th Regions rated higher than them is South Laurel. Obviously these Power Ratings are not 100% correct, but I think it shows they are a well thought of team. They have only lost two games within the State of Kentucky. In the Highly Regarded (Do you dispute this) 11th Region being near the middle is a pretty fair accomplishment. While not in the same class as a Scott Co., Lexington Catholic, Lafayette, Henry Clay, Tates Creek, or Bryan Station they are still well respected within their Region. I spoke to coaches from the 11th Region that feel they would be a tough match up in the Regional Tournament. I hope this answers your question.
  7. This was a big win over a very highly regarded and talented Franklin Co. team. So much for the 14th being weak and not able to compete with some of the better Central Kentucky teams.
  8. Perry wins this game, but it may be closer than the predictions. JBS will be up for the game and I expect a solid effort because a win would really gain a lot of respect for their program. In addition this PCC team does not put teams away as in past years, however they do just keep on winning. They have been playing to the level of the competition for the most part.
  9. Excellent game! Neither team played very good the first half for whatever reason. Possibly due to the defense or to being such a big game. They both stepped it up in the second half. Lee Co. established that they belong in the top five in the region and will be a contender in the Post Season.
  10. You were right on this one. Sounded as if Hazard played very well, especially Campbell.
  11. Perry did not have George Campbell, Brandon Willis or Eric Combs.
  12. Ron Blume - Johnson Central Jimmy Chaffins - Lynn Camp Ryan Howard - Leslie Co. TR Christopher - Bell Co. Bobby Owens - Knott Central Brandon Willis - Perry Central Matt Maynard - Belfry
  13. :thumb: Two not only talented, but also level headed young men. I am impressed with both of them.
  14. Top 5 Justin Burke Will Fidler Quentin Morgan Brian Anderson Clint Cashen
