RoundLeather Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 The 55th district is not seeded, but this game is a district matchup. I'm not going to make a prediction in this one so I was just started the thread for everyone else's thoughts. The game is at Wolfe.
Lightning Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 This is a huge game for both programs. They are struggling are in need of a win. It will be a close one, but I am going to take Breathitt by 4.
uk96 Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Breathitt is due to win, so I will say Breathitt in a close one.
Flash Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 This my be a close one. I'm a Breathitt fan but Gilbert is a player who can beat you if you don't defense and frustrate him. If they contain Gilbert, Breathitt wins because they have a better ball team overall then Wolfe. If they can't guard Gilbert....( and I'll be curious to see who they put on him because they don't have that one individual player who can stay with him)Wolfe wins.
sportsazoid Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 I say Wolfe by 9 with stamper back that gives them another scorer and Breathitt well if they dont go inside it will be along game.
LeeCoBobcatFan Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Breathitt County in a close one; two to three points.
RonnieThePopular Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 I think wolfe should have no problems here...really. Breathitt is way down.
Augger Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 This will be a close game. It will help wolfe having Stamper back but he may be rusty. Both teams are struggling but I think if Breathitt can contain Gilbert they will win this game. Breathitt 64 Wolfe 60

I don't see that happening right now, but I could be wrong. I think Wolfe wins this one by 10+, but I hope I am wrong and Breathitt pulls this one out.
LeeCoBobcatFan Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 I don't see anyone in Breathitts lineup capable of containing Gilbert. When Wolfe played Lee, Caleb Fetters blocked a couple of his shots and Mike Weatherspoon played great D on him and he still scored 26.
ARC Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 This should be a really interesting game. Other than Gilbert, Breathitt should win the match-ups at the other positions, (although I don't know how Stamper will factor in) so in this game I pick the Bobcats by 4. If Crow is added to Wolfe's lineup, then it would make a difference in this game because just a few rebounds could make a big difference. Crow apparntly was on Wolfe's bench last game in street clothes, so I assume that he may be gong to school there but is awaiting qualification. I doubt that he will play tonight but does anyone know the facts? Breathitt 59 Wolfe 55

One player does not make the team....I think that if Breathitt plays an up tempo style of offense and defense they win easily because against KCC Wolfe could not do anything, and that includes Gilbert. I do think he ended up with a few points, but Wolfe lost by 40 to an average KCC team.
