Good to see the Tomcat basketball program get on a roll. Ashland is slowing solidifying itself as one of the teams to beat in the region once again. Congrats to Coach Biggs on getting these kids to buy into his program and its also great to hear about Ashland's fan support :thumb: in this big win over our big archrival.

What, would you give the radio announcers a technical for something they said on the radio? :lol: :lol:

With this I totally agree.

This Ashland team is still learning the new system and as they do will show improvement along they way. With a talented bunch of kids in this system they will no doubt be in the mix come tourney time.

Everyone talks about the DI's maroon tint toward coverage. Maybe that is so but I don't see it. If it is I would think it's because they look at where the majority of their papers are sold at and report the stories based on that.

I thought we were on a basketball topic. :confused: And while I think Ashland does have a pretty good tradition in football, it might be even better in basketball.

I think I would characterize it as bitter jealousy.

I wonder if they really did have a passing game! If so then what was the coaching staff thinking. The running game was outstanding all year but against a strong balanced team like CCH a balanced offensive game would have been more beneficial.

Wow!!! Sorry I struck a nerve. I didn't realize my post inferred JC was a 21 point underdog. But this is a prediction thread about this game I thought. And in my humble honest opinion I feel if Rock shuts down JC's running game then I think they will win. I'm sorry if that offends you. I saw Rock play last year and they were a whole lot more physical than Ashland was and that is the reason they won. I believe they return their whole line or most of it, so I expect them to play even more physical this year being a year older and more mature. So I expect that to be more physical than Ashland was the last game of this year. Good luck to both teams, tonight.

This game will show how physical each team really is. Having seen Rock last year and JC this year, I believe that Rock has the potential to be a lot more physical than anybody JC has seen. With that being said, I think if Rock shuts out JC's running game they will win this game. If not then JC has a chance.

Congrats to Ashland on a fine season. They showed heart and determination in coming back from an earlier 35-7 pounding to a rematch they could and maybe should have won. Ashland will definitely be in a rebuilding mode next year but do have some talented juniors to be who will fill a lot of the missing pieces. The early part of the season, however, will be a learning situation for the Cats.

Obviously, this quote reflects a jealousy towards the Ashland football program.
