All of these teams are excellent.. on their own level. A double A baseball team may win the title each year... but they are not going to win the World Series. A Canadian football team can win multiple Grey Cups... but not on par with the NFL.
T-Cat, I think that is a great question that I have no answer to. I wish the young man the best but I do not like the trend.. ala Stoops offering to a 7th grader. Not smart IMO.
I recall Victor Anderson... he was the all everything rb stuffed short of the first down in the state title game by Trinity's center. Then his on field temper tantrum... ha ha ha. He would not be on my list.
Amazing... Hope the team is up for the challenge. Pretty wild when you look to top ten teams in your own state as the "breathers" on the schedule! I guess Doss and Fairdale were booked solid.
Anybody got a pic of what the most recent State Champ rings look like? I have not seen it. Also, is it true Chuck Norris joined the St. X coaching staff?
Robert Morris had loses to Savannah State, Bryant, St. Francis Brooklyn, and Quinnipac (to name a few). I hate to "nitpick" but I think Kentucky can win this one.
Kudos to Trinity and the student athletes for doing this the right way.... a great ceremony AFTER school with none of the students needing to take a day off of school to think about things.
The Christmas and New Years Eve party chatter had Coach WW bringing in Browning Naegle as OC , Chris Redmond as QB coach and Joe Jacoby as o-line coach as wel as St. Patrick (grade school coach) Mike Meiners as a coach (perhaps as freshman coach???). Sources say in a secret telephone conference call they plan to pass the ball on first down!
