  1. Travis Wright... an oversite the past 2 years considering the level of competition and what he was able to do on the field. I can't imagine his numbers if he had been able to play against scarecrow defenses.
  2. He is no doubt the best in Kentucky. Save your arguements for another day... he is the man and will make some college coach very happy.
  3. I had no clue who Mr. Parker was, so I looked him up. FYI - he is #3 on the all time reception list behind Montrell Jones and the new state record holder James Quick.
  4. Ballard - Jeff is by far your best bet. Enjoy and travel safe.
  5. I saw the field at St. X on Sunday... it's going to need replacing soon too. Is that just a year younger than the T turf?
  6. WKU takes over sole posession of #2 program in the state. Cat fans throw as many darts as you like but he does not have any wins taken off the books or banners yanked down.
  7. Double D was a blast to watch unless you played defense. Best of luck wherever he takes those cleats to college.
  8. The rain held off for the most part and fans saw a pretty exciting game. KY received and went for a 4th and short early in the game. Didn't make it which led to a metro Louisville team fg. On a trick play, KY scored on about a 45 yard pass (sorry I don't know who caught it). They went for 2 and got it. Score was 8-3 for a long time. Defense ruled for both sides. IMO the best quarterback today was the Sherry kid from South Oldham. He connected with Ballards Cam Lewis for a 9 yard td pass (2 pt attmpt failed). That made it 9-8 with both sides then missing fg attempts. With time running out, the KY team had a drive going but they were out of TOs and the play calling was pretty questionable. They tried a fg as time expired but it was blocked by St. Xavier's Karl Roesler. He blocked 2 fgs on the day. The Trinity trio of Jordan, Bryant and Bertram were awesome. I'm sure between those 3 they had over half of team tackles. Along with their buds from St. X (Clemons and Clyburn) they were fun to watch. All I heard from the folks behind me was how Ryan Timmons was going to run over Louisville... I think he had negative yards rushing on the day. That didn't lend itself to the arguement they made he was better than James Quick. Offensive player of the game for Louisville was Ballard's Lewis. Bertram won the defensive player. For Kentucky Madison Centrals Brandon Parks was defensive playe. Not sure who got the offensive player. The kicker from Danville (Karapandzic) was very good. Devonte Yelder of Central went down after a hit in the 2nd quarter. He was named MVP and I hope somebody can give us a good news update on him. I was amazed thet there was no ambulance on hand at the game. It took quite a while to get one there IMO. Plus when it arrived they couldn't even get to the field. Who designed that field anyway? What was the deal making the ambulance back up on the matting just to protect the precious track???? I'd like an X fan to explain how this could be such a messed up situation. Let's hope that avoidable delay did not matter to the young mans injury.
  9. Too bad there wasn't a player that was the all time leading receiver in state history to offer voters another choice.
  10. .... You never know when that special moment will hit. But, call your doctor if it lasts for more than 4 hours.
  11. BG kid named Allen Gonsalves is listed. I see no FTH players.
  12. I'll be there... and the Louisville roster is out now... If they can play togethre the Louisville team, especially the defense will dominate. Tigers, Shamrocks, Panthers, Yellowjackets, etc.
  13. It will be fun to see what changes in the offense Coach W brings. He inherits a team built to run the ball so it may take a couple years to see the full impact of his style. X returns a lot. The trio of horses did great against the Doss' of the world, but did not pan out this year against Trinity. I hope Walker can stay healthy in 2013. Trinity loses a lot but is not looking for Obama handouts... they will be fine. Look for a very mobile QB to give defenses another thing to worry about. As always it will be crucial to see how the lines for both teams develop. As for new talent, the word I get is that T is getting the cream of the crop, but who knows at this point. Actually both teams better watch out for Male after the nice year their frosh had! In a far more serious matter, I hope our BGP buddy AVID TIGER is feeling better!!!
  14. Let me try to explain.... I hate the drive.... Your right the numbers will not allow for it. Darn.
  15. I would not say Trinity had a "poor" crowd. They were just less painted up and enthusiastic about making first downs. After seeing the stats it was a dominating night for the T defense. PRP busted a long run late vs. the subs which accounted for about half of the 100ish rushing yards. For all practical purposes there was no PRP running game. Total passing yards under 150. I'm trying to recall how many RED ZONE trips PRP had... one for sure, was there more? Jim, I think the "chippiness" was a direct result of the shock and frustrsation the PRP side had. Interesting that T had twice as many penalty yards (80) though. A huge chunk of that was touchdowns being called back. Glad nobody was hurt. I would like to throw this question out. I'd say PRP was the third best team T faced in the playoffs... comments?
  16. Bring it back to PJCS. Half the participating teams were from the Louisville area and it sure is closer for the NKY folks. We can provide BG fans maps.
  17. These "soloutions" seem to be changing the surroundings and not the participants. I think that is flawed logic. Look at Central... a team that for years and years was a bottom dweller. They made a decision to become better and now they are on the list of the teams that make football "unhealthy"! That is a shame and a slap in their face. The models to becomming better teams/programs are out there friends... how bad do you want it?
  18. Trinity had a nice crowd. I think the PRP section was even bigger (student section for sure) and they were loud. As to the game... I guess anyone who studued the racing form saw this coming. PRP was shell shocked at the T speed. None of the plays that scored big against the Fern Creeks and Butlers were going to work tonight. As if PRP needed more to worry about, turnovers killed them. Sumpter the Panther QB played with heart. He was under duress all night. Jabari Jordan was game MVP. He and the defense were dominate. Judging from tonight if they play 10 times, T wins 10. It was great to see #17 out there. I think he became the first player ever in the KHSAA to score a TD in the finals every year in school! Anxious to see the stats.. for now... sleep.
  19. The choice... a good team in a pitiful conference or a pitiful team in a good conference. I'm going to take the BCS bowl game thank you.
  20. There are only about 5 games left in the season against decent teams. Granted the cats are 0-2 in such games thus far. So they will collect a lot of wins over Bumfuzzle Tech, etc. This team making the elite 8 would be a huge accomplishment. I don't see it.
  21. Collins is probably watching some trinity-hhs video to see how to lay 40-50 on the birds.
  22. I was just looking at the PRP schedule... I don't think they have played a game on turf all year. Anybody know where the Panthers have been practicing this week?
