Common opponents (for what that is worth). T rocked Highlands in a scrimmage and Highlands rolled Scott for their only loss. Scott beat GRC 40-6 and Trinity beat GRC 56-7. Scott whipped Madison Central 41-16 and Trinity just as couple weeks ago beat MC 62-8. Scott has never been afraid to play Trinity so I don't think there is any fear factor there. Even without Quick I'd still give the talent edge to Trinity. The Rock defense better be ready to defend a creative balanced offense. Home field helps Trinity too... so I'll say Trinity- 28 Scott-13.

Well, I was going to say that about the penalty too, but heavin knows anytime I say something negative about X, the sky darkens. I can't believe they didn't pass downfield more, the ends seemed to have some success getting open early on. At least try another trick play or something. And with Trinity... the passing routes all seemed to be down and outs... maybe that is how Cody got open late. I didn't think it was a Picasso by Coverdale, but then as I said in an early post, X had some good defense going.

Any thoughts on the second half offense of the Tigers? Was the T defense that good or was the play calling and execution that poor? I think I read 11 yards total offense and 1 first down (due to a defensive penalty).

You are incorrect sir. The cheering continued well beyond the celebration time of a big hit, and I have way more witnesses on the Trinity side to confirm such(and I did not have to count numbers it was soooo obvious). If you knew I'd make something out of it that tells me you knew it to be an issue. I did not want to believe it either, I was shocked and as an X grad very embarrassed.

Small crowd. Really low on X side. Great start for X. Loved the trick play where Walker passed. They owned the first quarter. Hated it when X team and fans cheered Quicks injury. I was there, don't tell me it didn't happen. I think it may be a neck injury. Sorry Walker was injured and I hope the Dakota____ player is OK (he left on a stretcher too with leg injury. Excellent defense both ways. Dawkins over 100 yards... huge. X total team rushing maybe 75-80 yards. X played really good pass defense. Final point... why didn't X let trinity score at the end. They would have been down 8 but had a chacne to tie, then win.

Hoping KCD can stun the world! KCD was playing 8 man football not long ago and has made great strides.

Three things that need to happen.... IMHO.... For X to win: 1) Balanced/creative offensive scheme that burns serious clock time AND scores TDs. 2) Win the turnover war by a 2:1 ratio. 3) Find a way to stop the T front four on defense and DD on offense. For Trinty to win: 1) Solid kicking game - special teams play. 2) Hold St. X drives to 6 plays or less. 3) Keep the foot on the gas pedal.
