SEVERAL TRINITY STUDENT-ATHLETES TO

SIGN NATIONAL LETTERS OF INTENT

Louisville, KY – Trinity High School seniors Ryan White, Chris Hubbard, James Quick Dalyn Dawkins and Jason Hatcher will sign a national letter of intent to participate in collegiate athletics at a ceremony to be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Trinity High School. Others are expected to join them.

Ryan White (football) will sign with Vanderbilt University. “Vandy is getting the total package,” said Trinity head football coach Bob Beatty, “This young man can do it all – cover man or zone. He’s dynamic in the return game and is an outstanding humban being. Vandy should be smiling.”

James Quick (football) will sign with the University of Louisville. “James’ career pretty much says it all,” said Trinity head football coach Bob Beatty. “There was a reason why we brought him up as a freshman and started him. He is a fierce competitor and will have a super career with the Cardinals.”

Dalyn Dawkins (football) will reveal his college choice Wednesday. “Dalyn is a young man that you can build your offense around,” said Trinity head football coach Bob Beatty. “He is the total back; he can run it, protect and catch the football. He will have a stellar career in college.”

Jason Hatcher (football) will reveal his college choice Wednesday. “Jason is a young man who has a bright future ahead of him,” said Trinity head football coach Bob Beatty. “I was very impressed with his performance in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He was practicing and played with the best players in the nation in San Antonio.”

Chris Hubbard (soccer) will sign with the University of Notre Dame. “Chris has been a blessing to work with these last two years,” head coach Barry Swearingen said. “Not only is he a great player but a really great young man. He is such a hard worker, dedicated on the field and in the classroom, and he is a leader. He is what every coach dreams being able to work with on their team.”

The signing ceremony will take place in Trinity’s Alumni Hall, which is located at 4011 Shelbyville Road in St. Matthews. Members of the coaching staffs and the signees’ parents will attend. Parking is available along Alumni Hall on Sherrin Avenue or in the adjacent lots.

NOTE: Please arrive by 2:30 p.m. to avoid student traffic before dismissal.

I could be mistaken but I think Dawkins is revealing his choice tonight at 7pm.

Hope we forgo the 29 threads about where the Highlands players are signing and how their kids were 'undervalued' by the big D1 guys this year.

Congrats to these young men from Trinity. The football guys are top notch!

Choosing between WKU, Purdue and Colorado State.

No idea, I copied and pasted the presser that was sent to me at 11am this morning.

Have any Kentucky HS players ever gotten a scholarhsip to Colorado State before this year? This year there is a definite from Louisville (St. X's Clyburn) and maybe T's Dawkins. What in the name of Bradley Van Pelt is going on out there? The interest in Dawkins' case could be that his uncle (Brian Dawkins) played for the Denver Broncos and maybe has some connections in Colorado. And maybe Dawkins and Clyburn are friends. It just seems odd to me that all of a sudden CSU is in the picture for 2 Louisvilla area recruits.

CSU Head Coach Jim McElwain was at University of Louisville for 3 years and still has ties locally...

Rasha

d Harris, former UL linebacker and St. X assistant coach is now on the CSU staff as a strength coordinator. Therein lies the answer.

Kudos to Trinity and the student athletes for doing this the right way.... a great ceremony AFTER school with none of the students needing to take a day off of school to think about things.
