Yes they lose her as well as three other starters. Big shoes to fill next year. Habermehl was the 3rd leading scorer in the region as well as top 10 in rebounding and steals. They also lose Jessica Blevins who was the 3rd leading rebounder in the region and who was one of the top 1 or 2 FG shooting % leaders in the region.

That is a huge loss. I was thinking of having them number 2 as well but they are the defending champs and return everyone pretty much. Its really a toss up between the two.

With the size of school Mason is, I wonder why they are now just starting a team?

No it was at Carroll Co. He went to the line 20 times because he was being double and triple teamed in the lane and still was making baskets with the foul. Contrary to popular belief he never shot more than 20-25 times in a game.

Where does this "Pendleton Co. has always brought a crowd no matter how good the team is," come from. Go back 5+ years and I guarantee they didn't "bring a crowd," everywhere they went. I have game tape to prove.

Brossart is down but then again so is the region and so is the state. Mason County has two guys on the bench in King and Browning, that are ten times better than two guys they start in Pawsat and Scott. The Officating was questionalble on both sides last night so it cancels out. I've said it since December, GRC wins the region. Mason will have trouble guarding Clark man to man because of Knowles, the only guy who can guard him is Miller. With Miller on Knowles that will limit his rebounding opportunities. Turner will have to have a huge game on the glass. King should see more minutes tonight because of his defense. If Mason limits the Cards second chance opportunities then they should be in good shape. Cardinals 75 Royals 69

Augusta led 15-13 then Brossart caught fire and went on a 29-0 run to lead 42-15. 23 turnovers for the Lady Panthers turned out to be the deciding factor with Brossart only turning it over 8 times. The worst part of this game though was without a doubt Mason County's public announcer. She would cough right into the mic, talk while the teams were shooting free throws, you could hear her carry on conversations with people during quarter breaks, and told someone to move their car during the action instead of waiting for a break in the action. Not to mention you couldn't understand what she was saying anyway. And I thought Mason's boys announcer was bad. Oh yeah back to the game. Neither team shot that well from the field, Brossart took 30 more shots then the panthers according to the radio after the game, but yet only outrebounding Augusta 42-41. Both teams looked a little flat in the opening minutes of the game, but the size of the Cats just proved to be to strong a factor for the Panthers to overcome. It was 39-20 at halftime which I was disapointed in because Augusta missed so many wide open layups and jumpers. They shot 20% from the field in the first half. A little better shooting and it could have been a game at halftime. PC did a great job on Josh White they kept pressure on him all night. As soon as he made a move to the lane they doubled and forced him to kickout, we just couldn't hit from the outside tonight. The future looks bright in Augusta though with only two departing players who had very solid and commendable careers. The rest of this years team was made up of 4 Jr; 4 So; and 5 Fr. Those freshman I might add were also District runnersup in the Frosh Tourney. Should be a great game Friday night between the Cats and the Cards,(no not UK and UL) PC and GRC. Exactly. Clark was also the favorite in 2004 when the Indians won the district, then the Cards had to face the defending state champs in the 1st round. This is a huge game once again.
