Original Rookie

The way I saw Louisville get up for the Florida game, Alabama is the only team I would think they for sure couldn't beat. The Florida win is HUGE for momentum coming into this season. It will be interesting to see if they can sustain a lot of that throughout the year because for the majority of last year, they were fairly underwhelming.

Do we talk about the past too much? Or the future? Maybe we just talk too much in general :taz:

A&M will have many opportunities to prove what they are throughout the year. As much as I would like to see it, becoming Louisville's Super Bowl to kick off the year is lose-lose.

Looking at it from A&M perspective, they don't need this game for national profile/title hopes near as much as UL does.

Really a shame but yea it seems like you need more notice to schedule a huge game like this. In fairness, Louisville probably wasn't even looked at as a potential huge game until after the Sugar Bowl.

^ Most UK fans I know don't really know what to think about Wiggins. The majority realize that we are going to be a force even if he doesn't come.

I don't know much about it but can't imagine Dieng is a Top 12 player in program history.

You can be difficult if you want, but you know the guys I mentioned are much more comparable to Barnes. (and Wiggins)

Yea he has been so far but the Barnes comparison works because you are comparing him to the TOP guys Cal has had. Wall, Cousins, Knight, MKG, Davis, Noel... all elite level recruits, all one year in college, all top 5 picks (besides Knight who went 7th).

True, I guess I meant he is the best at getting them there fast and drafted low (or high whichever is better).

While it doesn't matter at all, you would have to think any school would round up or guess high in this situation.

There is just no way of knowing or guessing about your hypothetical Duke situation. The Alex Poythress I saw this year was not going to be a Top 10 pick in the draft no matter where he went to school. Cal has an UNBELIEVABLE history of getting guys to the NBA since arriving at UK. Simply unmatched.

Really a shame how his UK career ended. Looking to be the third Cat in four years to be drafted #1 overall.
