I did not see the Christian County/Holmes game, but were they a lot faster than Holmes? Boone didn't seem to have any trouble keeping up with them.

9th Region final - Holmes 32 - Boone County 29 ...and it could have very well gone the way of the Rebels at the end. Had the Rebels beat Holmes in the 9th region finals, how far do you think they would have made it in the Sweet 16?

You can't argue with the success that they had though. If I had to guess, I'd say Popp lost his playing time because of the defensive side of the ball.

Who is forgetting Holmes won the game? These two teams are so even it is nuts. Your original post wasn't giving Boone much credit and made it seem like Boone was just trying to run clock, not the case at all. Both teams were great on defense and patient on offense, Holmes was just a little better tonight.

I think Brown, who is a senior, took all of his minutes this season.

You aren't giving any credit where it is due on that side of the ball and that is Boone's defense. Holmes was just as clueless on attacking it as the Rebels were on the other end.

How fun would it be to watch these two teams press each other and run up and down all game? I don't think many people realize how many athletes were out there tonight.
