Having E-town last shows you are young. Barbour took over that tournament and would be tough for anybody to beat.

What basis do people have for Holmes being #1? Besides the fact that they are the most recent winner and freshest in our minds.

I say...

1. 2003 Mason Co.

2. 2007 Scott Co.

3. 2008 Mason Co.

4. 2002 Lex Cath

5. 2000 E-Town

6. 2004 Warren Central

7. 2009 Holmes

8. 2001 Lafayette

9. 2005 South Laurel

10. 2006 J-Town

You really think Holmes is at 7? I'm a Mason Co fan but they have to be in the top 4.

I'm the same age you basically, I was at the 2000 State Tourny.

When you compare talent, Holmes is up there with ANY of the past 10 sweet 16 winners. I wouldn't say Holmes is the best team in the past 10 years but they're definetly top 3 or 4. I don't think some have realized yet how good this Holmes team really is. How many other teams have gone through the state tournament and dominated the first 3 games the way Holmes did? The majority of the teams who won state were senior dominated; this Holmes team was junior dominated this year. We may not have even seen this groups' best team yet. That may be next year when Pittman, Johnson Brothers, and Rice return with a deep junior class.

If I had to rank them:

1. 2007 Scott Co

2. 2003 Mason Co

3. 2009 Holmes

4. 2004 Warren Central

5. 2008 Mason Co

6. 2000 E-town

7. 2002 Lexcath

8. 2006 J'town

9. 2005 South Laurel

10. 2001 Lafayette

10. 2001 Lafayette

I agree with this one more than any other I have seen so far.

1. Mason 2003

2. (1.A.) Scott 2007

3. Warren Central 2004

4. Holmes 2009

5. Lex Cath 2002

6. E-town 2000

7. Mason 2008

8. J-town 2006

9. South Laurel 2005

10. Lafayette 2001

Honestly, I was tempted to put Warren Central at one. I think any team on this list would have had their hands full with that team.

How can you have 2009 Holmes ahead of 2008 Mason Co when they beat them in the finals the year they won it? And the 2009 team was without Arrez Henderson.
