Well, it does help when Boyd, Greenup ,and East are all in the other bracket.

Who? PM if you dont want to post on board. I'm familiar with a lot of Raceland's young players and don't know who you mean.

Why not Deskins if Raceland is only getting 1 player? Its not just offensive stats. Its the complete package( defense and offense plus attitude). I wasnt at the game, so I dont know who did what in the game. Timely hitting is just as important as total hits. What good is a hit or stolen base AFTER the game has been decided?

:dancingpa :dancingpa Ram fans are very proud ladies.

Way to go girls. What a group of atheletes.

Rams played with heavy hearts. Losing a classmate yesterday was hard to deal with. Congrats G.C.

Most high school stats are bloated because they let the players keep the book. The way they see it, if you get on, it's a hit.

Floyd is good hire. The boys have always enjoyed playing for him.

Post 76 legion in Ashland is pretty good. They do well in tournaments. The players are pretty much local to the Ashland area. Their coach is a great general manager type,(will get the boys seen by coaches at the next level and will go out of his way to help each one make it to the next level) .

Maybe if they are so embarrased, they should give it back. The kids should shut their mouth and play where they are told to play. Positions should be earned. If someone plays a postion better ,then hopefully the coaches see that and puts his best players out there. It's a coaches job to put the best 9 out on the field. Regardless of grade . Raceland can regroup and salvage their season.

Double play. Advance at your own risk.

Raceland's pitchers are walking a lot of hitters this season. Hope they fix it before districts.

They will. Always do.

Good job Scott, I've always felt your future was in baseball. I've told you that many times. You can have a future in baseball, but are a little short for the QB spot beyond small college football. Baseball may take you beyond the college level. Congrats. I'll be back to watching games when I get back from Texas. :dancingpa

If Trimble doesnt want it, then I think the job should be offered to Floyd first. The boys all respect him and he knows his basketball.

I dont think Raceland missed routine plays. They only had 1 error that I can remember , and it was after the game was out of hand. Walks killed the Rams. I believe Raceland walked 8 batters and also hit 1. Put that with some big timely hits, and you get 12 runs scored on you.

Grizzle pitched for Raceland.

Congrats to Devils. As a fan , i wanted the Rams to win it. I understand saving your pitching for the All A. I wasnt at the game until the 5th. Rams was up 3-2. A raceland fan said Raceland had an error in the 1st that helped Russell score. I dont know nor care. Can't wait to see the rematch.

E-2 and ALL runs are unearned.

I agree. Fairview is down a little this year. These two always seem to draw each other in the first round . By far the best two A schools in baseball in this region. Raceland will cruise and get their second 16th A championship in three years.

They will be ok. They played the strong teams while in Florida.

Josh Wilson was 5-5 also. Peyton was, I think 4-5.

Early errors got Raceland in a hole. Both these teams will be good this year. Rams always start out slow. The Florida sun will warm them up.:flame:

Not an upset. East is very good. Raceland will be ok. This game was closer than the score. Rams started out shakey, committing 3 errors in the first. Both teams will be in the mix this season.

Drew Hall at Raceland. Ex- major leaguer.
