Apollo rolled over the Tomcats 2-14, then on the final day Ashland loses to the same team from New York 5-6 ending Ashlands trip on a sour note.

I wouldn't say it ended on a sour note. No one wants to lose and I am sure the Tomcats were not happy aboput losing their final game in Fla. but they played some great competition and everyone had a chance to get some work in a game situation. The lessons learned while at Fla. will be helpful come tourney time back at home. With some more hard work and fan support the BatCats will be fine.

The Tomcats will be just fine this season. They have a strong program and tradition of baseball in Ashland.

They will be ok. They played the strong teams while in Florida.
