  1. My recent maxes in the weightroom aren't too bad, i'm about 5'6 195lbs. bench 310 hang clean 270 squat 525
  2. Pretty sure Al Baker was at UK, but I don't know anything about his career.
  3. Thanks Old Rambler. This sounds like a great idea for Russell, I personally wasn't a big fan of playing on the old field but this should help it tremendously.
  4. Is this "crumb rubber" thing like a regular grass field but with small bits of rubber in it???
  5. Carter is a very athletic and fast kid, but IMO he needs to learn to stop dancing and running east-west and learn to just hit the hole and get 2 or 3 instead of trying for the homerun everytime. Once he learns this I think he can be a very good running back for Ashland.
  6. Didn't Whiting commit to Ohio State already??
  7. Ashlands Matt Thomas has visited Gardner Webb and was offered a partial by EKU. Not sure where else he's looking at though.
  8. Ohio Wesleyan, Wooster, Wittenberg are the names i have heard. I'm pretty sure there are a few more but i can't think of them off the top of my head.
  9. This is great news for a very talented young man, not only on the sports fields but apparently he is very gifted in the classroom too. good luck to you richie!!
  10. Caleb Rigsby is getting a lot of DIII interest from many schools in Ohio from what I've heard.
  11. Matt played DE in high school, he was turned into a LB at Centre.
  12. I agree with El Gato:thumb: J.J. Reddick and Ray Allen
  13. DIII schools are very expensive, but the education is worth every penny IMO. Most DIII schools will help you out tremendously if you had good grades in high school, a good ACT and get help from your FAFSA. Grants are also usually available to help you pay their high tuition.
  14. I was recruited by both schools and loved both of them even though i chose not to attend either of them. Both schools are very highly touted academically and you won't go wrong choosing one over the other. In my experience, you have to visit the schools multiple times and get a feel for the school. I made my college choice because i felt the most at home and the most comfortable at this particular school. I got a little of subject but whatever school you plan to attend Centre, Rhodes or somewhere else, go to the place that you feel fits you best IMO.
  15. Both teams will be hit pretty hard by graduation, but i think it will be a pretty even game. Who will be UL's running back since Allen is transferring???
  16. I have not slammed anyone. I support Josh, Drew and Scott, and i wish them all the best while they are in college playing football and getting an education. Now that is all i have to say about this topic anymore, we'll see what happens for Scott and i hope he does get a chance to prove me wrong but i don't think we will get the chance to see Scott play on a regular basis again and that is JMO. But at Georgetown he will be getting a good education which is the important part.
  17. I'm not saying he didn't have a good high school career because he had an oustanding career and put up good numbers and i'm not talking about Ashland vs Raceland because that's not what this debate is about. This is about Grizzle's move to Georgetown where there are already 4 QB's on their roster, and where historically some great players from this area who were high school standouts have gone and gotten lost on the depth chart because Georgetown pulls in so many great players from all over the country, Ex:Josh Gross.
  18. I challenge you to find another post where i have "bashed" Raceland, i like and support all the local teams when they aren't playing Ashland. In high school Grizzle threw a lot of short passes and screens so IMO he has a lot of trouble throwing the deepers routes. The last time i saw him was in the All Star game he played in and those practices, he struggled all week and practice and during the game throwing anything and only completed like 4 passes in that game. He may have improved over the past year but he couldn't win the starting job at a new program who couldn't beat most JV teams, so i don't think he'll play at all at Georgetown who is NAIA power.
  19. I don't know if this is a great move for Scott in football terms. Georgetown has a lot of great players and athletes, and i don't think he'll ever see playing time there. Thats just IMO... I know thats playing football in college is more about getting an education than football though.
  20. Hart was up for the job last time too, heard he got stiffed somehow??? Anybody know the details of that?
  21. I've got 2 finals left and 2 papers to do too before thursday.
