I agree with Dawgdays rankings but on any given night the top 5 or 6 can beat eachother. I don't think Lewis or Bath have a chance but all the other teams are very dangerous. Boyd could really suprise people, they beat Russell and Ashland this season and are playing really well right now. Nobody in the region can match up to Selby IMO. But I agree Elliot is the favorite right now.

This was a great game, Selby absolutely dominated the 1st half but got into foul trouble and had to sit and watch most of the 2nd half. Matt Thomas played a huge game, making clutch shots, hitting 3's, and driving to the lane and finishing. Matt was big time tonight. Both teams played well and made some big shots down the stretch. The stat that really killed Boyd (besides Selbys minutes on the bench) was turnovers. Boyd 18 Ashland 9, now that really hurt them. Boyd is going to be a team no one wants to play in Morehead. I wouldn't be suprised if they make it to the regional championship game, Selby is a force and Boyd has a lot of players that compliment his dominant inside game. Good luck to both teams in Morehead.

Ashland doesn't really have an answer for Selby, but Boyd doesn't really have an answer for anyone else on Ashlands team. Blanton is good and so is Mayhew but they will have a hard time contending with Thomas and Mcdavid. Ashland wins this one by 12.

Congrats to Kasey, he will be a great addition to their team. Especially if they want a running back who can catch balls out of the backfield and can do a lot of things in space.

Where is Deaton from?

Ashland will have a very hard time in the post vs Queen and Terry. It all depends on these 2 staying out of foul trouble and if Ashland is hot from outside. Ashland is capable of pulling this upset, but I don't think they will. Rose Hill 55 Ashland 41

Hoose had a great career but this is a terribly sad ending to it. I really enjoyed watching him play, he is a competitor, a work horse, a leader, and a terrific person. Prayers for a speedy recovery from Ashland. Look for his teammates to play inspired for the rest of March!

Are those all the 3rd and 4th best teams in each district playing eachother except in the 62nd?

Ashland was down big in the 2nd and 3rd quarters and were ice cold from the field. When they finally began hitting shots and went into a full court defense they came back strong and won a hard fought game. Now for the tough Rose Hill Lady Royals!

This would revive UK nation, D'Antoni is a great coach and I love his style. I would love to see this and I'm not even a UK fan.

Ashlands pitching will be ok this season. 4 or 5 return with varsity experience. A few of them have some very good off speed but none will over power you. Kris Bias, Luke Bonner, Robby Wilcox, Caleb Rigsby, James Barber.

I don't agree that you should take as many of your players as you can to keep your job and your players respect. You should take the players that are the best. It's kind of like when Norm Chow was offensive coordinator at USC and coached Matt Leinart for a number of years, then when he went to the Titans for an offnesive coordinator position and had the opportunity to draft a player he's had before, but instead they picked Vince Young. Why? Young is the better player.

I would really love to attend one of these, can anyone tell me of a meet near the Ashland area sometime in the near future?

Is lifting this weight at a power meet any different than in a weightroom "maxing out?" I'm not trying to degrade any power lifters, I'm just wondering if their is a different technique or something?

This is great news! Ashlands wrestling program has really taken off and now Boyd is starting a team. Wrestling is one of my favorite sports because of the will and strength it takes to wrestle.

I think Henry Clay was a better team than Ryle. Just on the wrong side of the bracket.

Root I think signed with University of the Cumberlands.

The facilities look top notch. Wouldn't expect anything less from a great program like St. X.
