Graybeard, how did the Ashland wrestlers do?

We got a little off subject, but KCU should have a strong base for starting their program. I doubt if we see any 10-0 seasons for a little while but I wouldn't be suprised to see them go a few games over .500 in their first 5 seasons.

The East team should be good. Kasey Clark, Drew Mcdavid, Scott Grizzle, Josh Wills, J.T. Forrest, Fields Davis, Jacob Sizemore, Luke Bonner and those are just a few skill players from 3 teams!!!!

Apparently my source wasn't as good as I thought. Ron Blume is a fast, tough kid. He's definitely a burner and will be good in the spread offense at KCU because he's good in space.

Sorry to get off the KCU signees subject again but I heard some info from what I would call a pretty good source.I heard from a little birdy that Kasey is planning to make his verbal to Georgetown College next week.

Just heard that he has been offered a scholarship to play football at Georgetown but is waiting to see if he can get a baseball scholarship at Georgetown and wants to play both.

Can KCU offer athletic scholarships since they plan to play NAIA?

Does anyone have any information on where Daniel Pugh is going to play college ball at or where he's looking?

I never said it wasn't. The smaller schools IMO give you a better education because of the smaller class sizes and more individual attention a student gets. And that's the main point with these kids signing, it's continuing your education. But we all know that playing D1 is a kids dream, national tv, 100,000+ fans, maximum exposure all over the nation. But not all kids are fit to go D1.

Ashland pulled away by hitting their freethrows in the last few minutes of the game. The game was much closer than the final score shows.

Honestly I think Kasey put all of his eggs into 1 basket in trying to go D1. Before UKCATSFAN jumps all over me let me say that I think he can play D1, Kasey is a very athletic and talented football player. But D1 football just isn't for everybody, but I heard from a very close source that Kasey would get letters and questionairre cards from smaller schools but he had his mind set on going D1 he didn't bother to fill them out or write a letter back to the schools, just threw them away.

Congrats to Scott, I've seen him play a few times and the kid has a great arm and will do very well in Damron's spread offense. KCU got the right man for the job if they want to throw it all over the field.

They play in NAIA and yes they do offer scholarships, they are in Georgetown's conference.

One thing I am definitely looking forward to is the Linebackers from the East Squad! Just think about it SLB Josh Wills 6' 192lbs, MLB JT Forrest 6' 225lbs, WLB Fields Davis 5'8 190lbs. All three were All Area, and made 1 of the All State teams.

It would be worth it, I know that I'm going to make a few of the games this season.
