Pretty good ballgame with some excellent defensive plays from both centerfielders. Both teams hit it pretty well.

Tough loss for the Rams, they lost this one to a very good baseball team,. This years districts and 16trh region could get interesting. :eek:

Raceland has been coming into their own as of late, they started the season off struggling, but have really picked it up. East Carter has a very solid team and i look for both of these teams to be regional contenders come tourney time.

I am sorry that the Varsity lost. I still think they will get on track. Hey someone out there talk about that Ram JV last night all I got was that they won pretty big. Had two home runs and an end field home run. Is that true? Good job JV. Good luck to all our Ramblers on your next game.

Bobby McKee pitched 5 2/3 inning 6 SO. Brian Caudill 7th grader closed them out with a SO. McKee hit a HR to Right Center (9th Grader). Justin Ratcliff hit a 3 run shot to left field. (8th grader) Rams did a great job at the plate and only committed 1 error. JV beat East Carter 16-6, and their record is now 10-6.

The Rams will be OK, East is always tough. Congrats to the JV. Sounds like the JV is getting some quality experience having played 16 games already.

i heard there where three home runs. I guess i was misinformed. Seems like the team did an outstanding job keeping errors down and playing like a team. I also heard there was some kind of accident with a players parent. Is this true and are they ok. I have been out of town to renfroe valley so i am just hearing bits and pieces of both games.

Great news. Sounds like the future of Ram baseball is very bright. Congrats to the JV players on their success. Keep working hard and that success will continue.

Congratulations to East Carter on the win. The Raiders always have a good ball club and are a tough team to beat.

Rams have been playng well as of late so I expect them to bounce back and be ready for the next game. Stay focused.

Can anyone else tell us about the JV ballgame? Still havent found out if there were two or three homeruns(just curiosity on that one) Was there a parent hurt or got sick or something. Was asking around today but no one was at home. One of the kids said Coach Vanderhoof was involved but kid didnt know what had happened.

Routine plays and walks killed the rams in this one. RHS committed 6 errors and walked 6 batters.

I agree Statmaster, too many walks.

I want to thank Blue Blazer for letting me know that the parent that was injured was fine just some bumps and bruises. The way Coach Vanderhoof was involved is that he was at the scene to help. I have spoken with the mothers parents who where out of town and they send a big thank you out to him and just so happens that other home run was a sorta infield homerun created by her son so maybe she just got too excited.
