  1. I can understand why Catholic ups the price of this game. It is a 60% Scott Co base of fans and they know their fans follow them win or lose. To be honest it has been good for alot of the 11th region teams that Scott co has joined the region. Gates are bigger and it really seems like another big city match-up. Basketball in this area has really picked up its level of play the last three years. Giving the Fayette Co middle schools a little more opportunities to play other teams besides the Fayette co schools has helped. The Lexington schools keeping their players has helped. I think we have some very good coaches in the 11th.
  2. I can honestly say that I have not seen that tone this season. Most Scott co fans are very knowledgeable and humble.
  3. Dunbars depth has finally caught up with them. Getting close to the end of the season they have not developed the players Red hoped for.
  4. Tyler Hicks played harder than any kid I ever saw.
  5. Your last paragraph sums you up as we all know what your intentions where. Jim Hicks is his nephew. What does this have to do with the game. I can only say after being in this business for a long time and working with a former KHSSA commisioner for several years. The first thing he told me was you cannot reason with ignorance. I have firmly lived by this.
  6. Hmmm!! A team that averages 91 points a game held to 68. A team that averages 18 more rebounds than their opponets and gets outrebouned on the offensive boards but only outrebounds Scott Co by two on total rebounds. A team that only commits nine turnovers a game all the sudden has thirteen at the half and 24 for the game. A team that shoots around 60% from the field shoots around 34% for the night. Scott co did not shoot much better. Its simple to look at the refs. But look at this, defense won the game and Scott Co. ran with them when no one else tried to and Scott Co wanted it more. You could see it in the first three minutes of the game. Watching Billy Hicks teams over the last 13 years they have not been the most talented at times but seem to play hard all the time and that wins basketball games.
  7. I would love to see a class A school schock this region one time. It looks like it could be done.
  8. This will be the first year I have missed the Toyota Classic since it started. I moved to Orlando last month and I am starved for quality high school basketball. Yeah there is talent down here but the coaching and the school spirit is no where to found. Should be some good games. Scott Co will struggle first half before pulling away from the Bobcats. Bell Co is no easy opening game.
  9. A little payback from the state tournament.
  10. Don't care for the sideline antics but I love the way he stands up for his team.
  11. UH played at Scott Co last year and it was a blowout. Both teams are suppose to be much better. I will take the Cardinals by alot. Scott co has alot of scorers.
  12. It will most likely go down to the wire since both teams almost mirror each other.
  13. Shelby has been a dissapointment this season!
  14. That would be a heck of a surprise!!!
  15. These are two private Christian School teams. Trinity in Lexington and Cornerstone is in Shelbyville. They play in a private state assoc. (KCSAA) and asked me in the summer if they could play in the event. They are very excited.
  16. Complain to the KHSSA. They are the ones that made your drive longer. When the playoffs in football come around I do not here teams complaining because you have to go on a long trip. Or if you make it to Rupp in basketball its to much of a drive!!!! Come on they deserve a shot at hosting the region.
  17. I wonder why these OHIO scores are so important to bluegrass posters!!!!!
  18. There are more seats in the end zone than all of Bracken Co and at least three fourths of Fleming.
  19. Just two years ago they finally let Fayette Co middle school teams play in a non Fayette Co tournament. All the Lexington schools are now allowed to play in the KBA Middle school state tournament. Trust me if it was not in Lexington they would not be allowed. Its a shame it has come down to this for these athletes. You are right schools around the Lexington have now got fat with good players because the Fayette Co school keep taking away games. The main problen in the school system is they are broke and there is no money for any sports in the whole school system.
  20. The 8th will welcome them back with open arms.
  21. Regionals should never ever be in one place every year. Especially Mason Co.
  22. Putting Scott Co in with the private schools....WHY!! I do like their chances every year. I think Scott Co will be leaving the 11th in 2009. Remember where you heard it.
  23. That was the Scott Co practice field. Don't know who made that one up. Scott Co plays at the Toyota Stadium was formely the Rawlings Stadium. Very nice place to play. If its good enough for the Bengals its good enough for Georgetown College and Scott Co High School.
  24. I know Coach McKee is going crazy that his team has found ways to turnover the ball at the worst time of the game. Talikn about atmosphere for a big time high school game. This one had it. If the Cardinals can stop fumbling the football they will be tough to handle by anyone. With Haddix ineligible. James with a torn ACL and Mackey concentrating on basketball the Cardinals are still loaded with talent without these three.
