jahearme
Here is a link to some pictures of Montgomery Co.'s new gym. They had some problems with it, but it will be ready for practice on the 15th. The pictures of the inside really don't do it justice. http://www.montgomery.k12.ky.us/gym_pictures.htm
Mustang
It looks like a first-class facility. Congratulations to the Indians and the leadership that made it happen!!!
sumoroyal
It does not look like it is any bigger than Bracken or Fleming. It probably will be big enough to hold the region because all of the basketball die-hards who make the Regional tournament an event every year won't travel to Mt. Sterling for the tournament. Mason also draws alot of people from Ohio. A lot of steps to get to the gym, could be hard on older people and handicapped. Looks like a good place for the girls regional. Some of you people from Mason Co. absolutely kill me. It could be Rupp Arena located in Mt. Sterling and you would still complain. As far as the elderly and handicapped are concerned it has to be equipped for the handicapped so they won't have to worry about all the steps. Congratulations to Montgomery Co. on a beautiful new facility. I'll have to come to the Clark Co. game if I can get Goldie to spring for a popcorn and drink. It is MUCH bigger than Bracken and Fleming Co.! As for the rest of your post.... I'll let you believe whatever you want to believe about the regional tournament. Also there are several ways for elderly and handicap people to access the gym. The pictures taken are from below the parking lot, close to the football field. KY Thorobred
It looks real nice, it reminds me a lot of the Scott County gym.
Bird Man
It looks real nice, it reminds me a lot of the Scott County gym. Great comparision. I was trying to figure out what HS gym it reminded me of. Yeah, it's definitely similar to the Toyota Center in Georgetown. Both are great facilities for a high school. diggerphelps
What is the capacity for the Fieldhouse? I think Phil Hay and/or PRESSROW can better answer that one to an exact number.

mhighfield
What is the capacity for the Fieldhouse? I believe they lowered the seating capacity last year to around 5500 but theres always well over 6000+ there for the semis and championship game usually.
