Long Time Warrior

The regional teams travel no matter the seed, even district winners travel on odd years and odd district winners travel on even years. If there is a difference this year please explain!!! My under standing is last season Boyle Co. traveled to Bullitt East for the Regional final this year the Louisville team will travel to Boyle Co/ Southwestern/Pulaski Co./ Marion Co. area. Didn't Bowling Green host Bullitt East for the semi-finals last year as well.

Bullitt East needs to seperate themself from the Doss and North Bullitt. Losing this game makes the North Bullitt a must win to get in. Although if they tie with Doss they have the tie breaker with a win over them. But if Doss slips up and wins over Central then their going to have a tough time getting in. I think they give Valley a game and win in OT. 27- 21 BE.

Whenever we pick up that win I guess the monkey will be gone. Anyways for the past several years we've been in Boyle Co. district and it wasn't like we were losing to a regular team we were losing to a team bound for the State Championship game. Finishing first in district has been dang near impossible and going to Rebel country during the playoffs and getting a win has been even harder. Ask Hop-town, Central, Bullitt East, Pulaski Co. (three years ago) Southwestern, and others. Going through our place this season with just one more win in district we get home field advantage for as least 3 games, again provided we continue to win. I like our chances better going through our place than Boyle Co. where it seems almost impossible to get out of there with a W. Good luck everyone and RebelK I to will root for your guys until.

Easy now, got a few teams in there that may have a say so about that. It's not going through Rebel country this season.

They sure did!! They are a much improved team over the last couple of years. They will play you tough everytime you line up. Good win for Boyle Co.

like wise with you as well. I was sounding bad was I? I was just saying that if you are praticeing well then let the other team show them why it's important. I wasn't refering to all just pointing out that sometimes coaches don't have to handle this themselfs the other team will. You go out into 3A football unprepared and your going to get it handed to you. Keep up everyone and the wheels will find their way back on the wagon. To me if your wanting to send a message to kids that aren't praticing hard or are goofing off you leave them in and let the other team take it to them "on the field". Best way to get your message across if you ask me.

This was my first question!!

There is so much I want to say about this game but don't have the time today. First off I do want to say there is going to be great feelings toward the winner and bad (sad) feeling toward the loser. The two preseason teams to win this district match up early. Second, remember everyone these are high school kids were discussing about. Either be a fan or not. I have nothing but great respect for Boyle Co.'s team, players, coaches, parents, and fans. I hope we have done nothing but earned their respect as well. Football is an emotional game folks and I for one now best. I have at times lost it but recovered it the next day or two. (just depends) It very passionate when it's your kid on the field and it's his last go around. (twice the passion). When you fumble the ball twice or three times it's tough to recover. Last season when we lost to Boyle Co. I was not happy at all. I was too looking for reason to but you know what it really boiled down to, it wasn't us losing, it was Boyle Co. winning. plain and simple. I can see it now but last season I didn't. Football is a funny game sometimes it will humble you and bring you to your knees sometimes asking why but it all comes down to 15, 16, 17, 18 year old young men running the plays and the opposite side preventing it. Coaching goes a long way but the pressure of making the play sometimes is to hard to over come. Wish everyone a great day and we love ya Boyle Co. even if you've been a thorn in the butt for years. Just got back from the game, "BIG BIG" win for us but that's a different thread. Meet some really great people and just made you feel at home. LN, Henry and everyone else great to see and meet you all again. hope your boy has a great season and continues on. RTS, great great time with you as well and again all the best to your son as well. I'll keep you guys up dated on mine. Keep him in your thoughts at night it's rough out there. HHS/Southwestern game what can you say HHS just brought it! To much speed once the RB was pass the LB's. If this is what happened the ready for play offical should have given the stop clock signal until the ball was placed on the tee and kicker returned to his spot for kickoff. Bad call IMO. Just like the offical time out for equipment problems, time is called until it's repaired.

Here's the thing HHS has put up just over 400 yards passing their B&B is running and especially the "jet sweep" everyone knows it and just have to stop it. Danville has some quick kids just like HHS and we did OK against their running game. Pass-D another story. HHS has to go to throwing if they want to win this one "BIG" otherwise it's going to be much closer than all the "Blow-out" predictions. Wasn't a Blow-out last year. The non-onside kick that just happen to bounce HHS way and we gave up a 50 yard pass play (never should happen in high school) it's a close one. I'm going with a closer score as to the final score. 35-33 either way. Southwestern let Danville score 33 on them figured HHS will score at least that, unless we get some timely turnovers at crucial times. We need ZERO turnovers ourselfs. Hang onto the ball SW and play you hearts out. It's not everyday you get a chance at one of the premier programs in the state. Look forward to seeing a couple of my Highland buddies. :scared: WHAT! you were rooting for your home town's team even though it's not your school's team. Who ever heard of such a thing!!! Boyle Co. what a place to play football. Darn, them guys root for one another like that I think we should ask them to quit that don't everyone else think so?

The talent is on it's way from what I've heard. The freshman squad has been playing tough and was again this year until their QB and a couple more went to the varsity squad. Look for the Maroons to back soon.

I don't know for sure, looked to be about 50/50. Fumbles killed us tonight. Moving on got Highlands to worry about now!!
