Coach Harmon really has Lafayette going in the right direction. This looks to be a pretty good year in Lexington.

Good job and nice win.

Radio reports said Boyle made some very critical turnovers early that cost them something like 21 points. Lafayette appears to have a solid team, however. Can Boyle respond next week at Mercer?

The entire Lexington area seems to be well stocked with excellent teams this year. The district battle will be wide open amongst Scott County, Henry Clay, Lafayette, and Tates Creek, with Woodford County being a spoiler. A lot of people have not given Lafayette much credit, but I think the Generals have a very good squad this season. :thumb:

Just like last season when a very good Woodford County (7-3) missed out on a trip to the playoffs. It will be interesting to see who draws the short stick this year. Plus, don't forget about a young Dunbar team. They might not make the playoffs, but they could be a thorn in the side of some teams trying to make it.

A field goal with less than one second left decided this one after Boyle tied it with :40 to play. Must have been a great one to watch.

This was a very entertaing game to watch! Boyle battled back to tie wtih less then a minute left in the 4th, but an outstanding kicker from LaFayette ended the game with 5 seconds left, a 40 some-yard field goal I believe. Both teams played hard, but a few things could've been worked on. Great game to watch.

Would be nice to see 4A dominance move to the Lexington area.

Yes it would! Let's bring some more championships to the central Kentucky area! :ylsuper:

Wow, talk about Deja Vu!!!!

Yeah, I think the Rebels have seen that before. I think it cost them last year at Bullitt East, as well as last week at Admiral Stadium.

It's not going to get any easier for Boyle anytime soon with Mercer and Pulaski SW coming up next on the schedule. I STILL think BC is a very good team and shouldn't be counted out yet. They have 2 losses to two solid 4A teams and a loss to Danville thanks to some mistakes made early in that game.

I agree. I can tell in a matter of weeks from improvements from the Henry Clay game. Perry is developing, the Reese kid is developing, Miller has always been a beast - the defense just lets them down when they don't need them to. Just like tonight, allowing the Generals to move up field into field goal range with some 20 seconds in the game.
