Lafayette 36 Boyle Co. 33

It's not going to get any easier for Boyle anytime soon with Mercer and Pulaski SW coming up next on the schedule. I STILL think BC is a very good team and shouldn't be counted out yet.I They have 2 losses to two solid 4A teams and a loss to Danville thanks to some mistakes made early in that game.

No way! They had about 500 yards of total offense again tonight I believe. If we don't come to play next week then Boyle will thump us.

Mercer may need to widen it's scoreboard in order to fit both the teams' scores on it next week.:thumb:

Boyle struggled tonight. I don't know the exact stats, but they did struggle. I find it kinda funny you disagree when you were in Lancaster tonight. Take it from the ones that where at the LaFayette/Boyle game.:thumb:

I don't think he is disagreeing. He is saying Boyle WILL give Mercer all they want at least that's my interpretation.

Oh sorry mercer titan, read your comment the wrong way. I ask your forgiveness bro, my bad.

What is going on down there in Boyle Co. this year? I cant remember them losing this many games this early in the season for a long long time.

I actually look for a defensive struggle next week...seriously. But that is for another post.

Nothing wrong with Boyle Co. Their record is simply the result of one of the more difficult schedules to date of any team in the state.

That part that is highlighted. Where it says Boyle shouldn't be counted out. That is what I was commenting on.

That could very well be true also. Sometimes certain team strenghs cancel others out to present a contest that nobody would have expected.

There is nothing wrong with Boyle County or if there is, I bet some schools would love to have their troubles. This is a young team that has made some mistakes but has come back against two really good team and have given them all they wanted. I can only hope that everyone, and I mean Boyle fans and all, will not worry so much about how many wins are in the win column and let these kids play and the coaches coach. It always strikes me as so awful that people expect the same thing from each team and then when one team doesn't quite hit their "high expected marks of excellence" then off everyone goes.

This was a very entertaing game to watch! Boyle battled back to tie wtih less then a minute left in the 4th, but an outstanding kicker from LaFayette ended the game with 5 seconds left, a 40 some-yard field goal I believe. Both teams played hard, but a few things could've been worked on. Great game to watch.

Although he didn't have the opportunity to attempt any FGs against Mason County in the first game of the season, Lafayett's place kicker has a lot of leg - was making 45 and 50 yarders in pre-game routinely.

The Boyle- Mercer game should be the feature game in Central ky next week. I think it will mark the turnaround game for Boyle as they begin another run for the 3A title.

Why should they do that? It's not like we just beat them last week and they have a chip on their shoulder. I would like to invite all those Ads fans out to root on the Rebels next week. Should be a good game.

Afterall, I was at the Danville/Southwestern game rooting for the Ads.

This was a very good game. The Rebels did shoot themselves in the foot early and often with the turnovers. Once again, we spotted them 17 points and had to play catch up. I think Boyle had 3 interceptions and 4 fumbles. Boyle pretty much dominated this game like last week, except where it counted (scoreboard). I believe Boyle ran 84 offensive plays and had the ball 28 minutes, and Lafayette had it 19 minutes.

I have to go on to say the officiating was horrible. There was a couple of pass interference calls that were very obvious on the Generals and the Refs didn't have the nerve to throw the flag. When Lafayette hit the field goal at the end, the General's players rushed the field which should have been a penalty, but again, no nerve by those men in the stripes.

Keep your heads up Rebs, I see tremendous potential.
