So if the pulling guard follows in behind the QB on a option play and the full back dives and the tail back goes ahead and starts down field blocking then the QB can pitch the ball to a guard pulling from the LOS?

Never knew you could hand the ball off to a guard. After reading the second posted article it's states clearly if they turn toward their on goal and if the QB takes the snap you can hand the ball off. This brings up the question can a pulling guard or tackle take a pitch from the QB?

They were fun to watch!! First game was 2-0 final score. The second game was decided by a hail mary pass down the sideline for a three point win with 1:01 left in the game. I told everyone that if they wanted to see some of the best talent in high school football this was the games to be at. This Bowl was worth the price to get in.

I think Joe's always supported Southwestern except when we play Somerset which is justified. He along with a lot of us support all three local teams and our favorite when playing each other. I'm hoping Somerset wins again Friday night along with Southwestern. Keep it rolling guys!!!

The score was 20-19 SW. Going to be a great game. Neither team has played anyone to compare their games to. The not knowing each other and haven't played in 3 years got the making of a great game. The long journey from Louisville will be somewhat of a advantage for the home team but playing a couple of really good Louisville teams helps Central. Going to be a good one at the RESERVATION........................LTW.

Spoken with a lot of truth, the new district will see what a lot of people have seen for years!!!! Great great ball club that teams need to pattern their like because it works. Boyle Co. lost to Southwestern during the season 28-7 and even still a least 50% of the predictions were Boyle Co. winning last night. It wasn't ment to be last night because Southwestern needed to rise above things and the one and out in the playoffs and that monkey is done. Congrads to SW and Coach Anderson for getting it done last night. Had to stick to the game plan and it worked out for a big win. Boyle Co., Danville, Lincoln Co., Mercer Co., Southwestern, Pulaski Co., and Somerset. Great football being played in central Kentucky. Southwestern will host the game between Central and Southwestern!! Even year, both #1 in district. Even district will host.

High school football at it best!!!!! Great Great game out of both squads!!!! Classic game and one players will remember for a long long time. I want all the Boyle Co. seniors to know it was a pleasure to watch you play football for the last 4 years and it was an honor guys. Losing is tough but it makes you who you are in the future (WINNERS IN MY BOOK). Southwestern players let's keep it rolling and don't let up. Played your heart out tonight but nows it time to re group for next Friday night. I along with Commando hope the games between Boyle Co. and Southwestern continue because it only makes both teams better IMO. GO WARRIORS!!!!!!

RebelK, I was just trying to get this thread going a little. To me what does Boyle Co. have to prove---------------NOTHING. We are all believers in their teams and squads and staff. Nothing comes easy, we've been close a couple of times getting you guys and the teams of past are gone and new ones form. Southwestern needs to get over the one and out in playoffs and this poses the time to do so. It wasn't that the article was being disrespectful, I guess it was just the title of the story. Maybe Southwestern has something to prove to all it's nay-sayers. Beating Boyle Co. twice and moving on. What point does Boyle Co. want to make, that they were better than us and didn't show it? Or the point that they just lost to us period? I can't think of another team and players and fans I respect more than Boyle Co (Highlands a close second). Boyle Co. has and will continue to be a force to deal with but to prove a point is just that. I don't think Southwestern needs anything or anyone to tell them how big this game is but letting them know they (Boyle Co.) is bringing another game than the one the apparently played last time. To all my Boyle Co. buddies I want to wish you guys well and a hard fought game. I'm pulling for SW and I'm hoping we win. It's time for our team. Boyle Co. seniors this season will end their high school career with a State Championship ring, State Championship runner up ring, runner up Regional title. Not a bad high school career at all. What is Garrard Co. record this year, oh yea. it's 2-8 and backing into the 2A playoffs without a district win. At lease Southwestern has to win a couple of district games to make the playoffs. Southwestern has been finishing second in the district behind Boyle Co. and they finsihed 3rd behind Pulaski Co. and Boyle the year before. It wasn't like Southwestern was losing to just anyone they were losing to a team bound for the state championship game. Finishing second and third in district means a ton ask the Highlands fans if they would have rather have finished first or in second this season. If you want to compare records and district wins let's compare and even playoffs win if you want. Thing is we've had the State Championship winner and runner up for two years and runner up regional team in our district for the last four years. If you don't think it'd tough playing in Boyle Co. you should get them or Danville on your schedule next season and you will see how tough it is to get out of Title Town with a W. Good luck to everyone in the playoffs it's been afun year and you just never know come playoff time.

Don't play them, if you feel they can't get through one game without getting hurt. If your that much better than the orther team then play your backup players. There are lots of reason that these games are played mostly because you need to be playing your next year starters because in just a few more weeks your seniors or gone!!

Senior night also includes the band members, dance team, mangers, and cheer leading squad.

This is the wording at the KHSAA web site (@high/odd-even/low-high) for the Regional final. I take it that this has been different in the past. So because of the district playing in the home district playoffs games they change the regional playoff games home site? Why is my question? What did it matter after reaching the regional final? If Bullitt East were to have had another great season like last year and was to have won out to be in the regional final again at #1 seed in their district they would have hosted again in the playoffs anyone other than the #1 from the other district. Meaning they could have hosted two years in a row. I thought thats why they have always alternated every other year to prevent hosting consecitive years. Doesn't sound quite right to me about this season. Again why change this season?
