I was able to read the whole article eariler, now it won't let me see it either.

Living in this country and working hard you can fulfill a dream. All students should read this success story of how this young man took advantage of what was near him and stuck to it. Tip of the hat to BG and their school system and along with WKU summer programs. It's great to live here in this country. I thank God every day. I hope he makes it to NASA, I'm sure he will!!!

I just though it kinda funny that you guys were playing all three Pulaski Co. teams and was just stiring conversation about it.

Danville is taking on all three Pulaski Co. teams, first up Southwestern. Then they get Pulaski Co., followed by cross town rival Boyle Co. Last but not least Somerset. Does Danville start the season going 4-0 or 2-2 or better or worse. Danville has a good team but I don't think they get the run over all three Pulaski Co. schools but I would like to here others opinions...........LTW.

:thumb: I agree 100% Not only do the kids lose intrest but so do their fans after game 5 or 6. I truly believe this will stir more intrest in "The Greatest Game" and if more kids are involved for longer periods of time how can that be bad? Who knows maybe your kids team is one of the "cinderella" teams that pulls that upset. All around "Great for the Game"

Again they didn't win by that much last year, what makes you think it will happen this season?

Please, Please, Please..............players speak up if you feel like something is wrong with you and you know something isn't right. I've worked in health care for several, EMS a long time ago................... Your body will tell you when something isn't right, PLEASE listen to it. It knows whats best for it. This sport is a very fun and life building block for you as a young players and we as adults what to see you grow up into fine and outstanding people we don't want anything to happen to any of you. So again please SPEAK up when your body is telling you something isn't right because it will give you warning signs, TAKE THEM SERIOUS........... May God watch over you always...........LTW.

OK guys take it to the PM's, J/K. Anyways I do believe all this discussion and batting back and forth ideas and then going forward with them only make Kentucky football more visable to more people therefor more kids are involved. Isn't that the idea...................here. More kids, more parents, more schools, more of everything brings more intrest to some school programs that play in obscurity from everyone else. I like the changes personally and I hope for years to come the interest in "Kentucky High School Football" remainds high and we're going to, in return see a lot of kids playing college ball that we know more often.............LTW.

According to rivals these are the teams that did, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Marshall, Cincinnati, and of course Auburn. No offer from UK ???????????????????

Along with Warrior1 and you I'm in total agreement. Let the continued intrest in fooball stay forever at a high level in this state and it will continue to progress. Being for or against doesn't matter just keep the intrest alive and things will inprove as it has in the past. IMHO it has.

Hey I know that, but you wanted everyone to see how good or bad a winning % each team had. You were the one the stated that you felt Southwestern should have been higher. I was pointing out that for 3 of those 6 years we were in 4A and playing mostly 4A teams. Even in 3A we're still playing 4A (GRC, South Laruel) teams and tops in 3A (Boyle Co., Highlands) and tops in 1A (Danville, Somerset). Now if you want to really compare winning % against I'll go and check the winning % of the teams you played in the last six years and the winning % of the teams Southwestern played in the last 6 years and then you can talk about yours. Your undefeated against us and we have played one another 3 times I believen not sure. All three of your teams were very good teams and even got a win over Boyle Co. last season with an outstanding bunch, so let's just let it be. I think your team and coaching staff were outstanding in our last meeting at your place and I talked to several of them and I enjoyed seeing the turn out you had for that game. I hope we meet again to play another time because if we meet again this year it's for the Regional title. Good luck to you and your team........................LTW.

I find that hard to believe.......................after the way we treated the Highlands fans when they visited and LN was still fine.....................come on now!

Now Bullitt East maybe higher in winning % but 5 of the 8 team they have to play have losing records. Remember Southwestern was in 4A for 3 of the 6 years.

For different schools it means different things. Some schools just want to have a winning season (above .500) UK fans can relate. Some schools want to win their district and for others it Regional titles means a successful season. Then the chosen few it's State Titles. I believe in setting realistic goals and then surpassing them it's titles for some and for others it lower titles. Success means to strive to be better every year and make it. I'm a Southwestern supporter and believe every year is a success even though we are still looking for that Regional title but with Boyle Co. in our district what can you do, but we've been close to getting them a couple of times but they were and are a tough bunch to beat ask others. I won't make a list. I visually see the success of our program every time I go to Krogers kids from class 2004, 2005, 2006 are there working. Looks to me like all they have to do is put on their job app. that they played football for Southwestern. At one time I believe there were 10 to 12 kids from the team working. Success in the working world is HIGH ON MY LIST.

The coaches will have to like it very much because it gives teams a better chance at post season play and maybe a home game for some additional money for the program! To me it's a Win-Win situation better than the other choices........LTW.

I have to agree with the Coach Larkey quote. The last time Southwestern played Rockcastle they were giving Coach an award for 200 wins and I along with the rest of us stood up and applauded this feat. Gotta give up for a coach with 200 wins in football......................LTW.

It boils down to who ever's defense stops the other at a crutical point in the game. Southwestern will have to keep Jeffery Guest at bay, Danville will have to play tough up front to stop the run. Going to be a good one and it's tough to beat Danville at home. Wouldn't miss it!!!!!!!!!

Is the RB back from last year, I believe his name is Cory Rakes? He's a heck of a runner and hits the hole like no one else. Good luck to Bullitt East this season.

Thanks Henry, and I'll return the favor for Highlands. Also with my buddy Commando I'll have to go with the three local teams (Southwestern, Pulaski Co. & Somerset) along with Boyle Co. and Danville. Can't root for everyone but have meet and talked to a lot of great folks from all the teams that Southwestern has played over the years including Bell Co. and Rockcastle Co.
