Will Friday's high temps. affect the outcome... Absolutely. Deeper teams will obviously perform better since they will be able to platoon more and get their kids off the field more often. I've seen where some places are getting cooling units for the sidelines.

It's got to be Holmes. They were so fortunate to be moved to the same district as CCH and HHS. (Sorry, I couldn't find a smiley dripping with enough sarcasm.)

Why do we want so many teams in the playoffs? I hate the idea of having teams in the playoffs that have sub-par seasons. It also increases the odds of a top ranked team being upset.

Do away with championship trophies and give out participation trophies. Maybe you should define "always been". 4A wasn't created until 1975.

Holmes has had problems at PK the past couple of years. Going for the two was a safer bet than kicking the PAT.

Simple question. Who will have the best team in 2007? I've picked two teams from each class, so there's a high probability, that your team isn't one of the 12.

I've never prayed so much as when we were running sprints (and I retched) at the end of the 3rd practice of the day. Mostly I just prayed "Lord, take me now!"

What are Two-a-days really about? Endurance or learning the program? Same goes for 3-a-days.

I know there's an NCAA Division I field where the center of the field is much higher than the sidelines and makes it hard for visiting QB's to hit their receivers on sideline patterns. Are there any high school fields that give a similar landscape advantage to the home team?

I was going to say upgrade for Holmes, but Holy Cross is a crosstown rival and Lloyd will be a good game. Dayton is the only question mark. I guess if the team shows improvement, then they can worry about upgrading the schedule.

Does playing other NKAC teams serve any real purpose anymore? Is there any advantage to Dixie playing Beechwood, for example? I'm not stating an opinion here. I'm just wondering what conference play does for teams today.
