  1. Our numbers will be final when the PRC tells us they're final!
  2. I'd like to publicly apologize for some of the criticisms I've had of Barack Obama. Turns out he's not such a bad guy after all. He even mailed me a package of iron-ons for all my clothes. What a guy! (Just having a little fun.)
  3. I heard the show was being replace by Achmed and Rahab plus 70 Virgins.
  4. If they had awarded treble damages for 1000 songs, the most they would have gotten was $2970. I believe this gets thrown out on appeal for unreasonable damages. I'd like to see how the jury came up with their figure.
  5. I enjoyed the show, although I found Kate to be somewhat of a battle axe.
  6. The CBO is also predicting that 23 million employees will lose their employer provided health insurance.
  7. Notice where the countries with socialized medicine fall. (France, Canada, UK)
  8. Compared to the 20 OECD countries reporting MRI data for the latest year comparable data were available, Canada ranked 12th, reporting 5.5 MRI scanners per million people. Japan and the U.S. had the highest number, with 35.3 and 27.0 per million, respectively. The median was 6.7. Canada ranked 15th among the 21 OECD countries reporting data on CT scanners, with 11.3 per million population. Japan and the U.S. had the highest number again, at 92.6 and 32.0 per million, respectively. The median was 14.0.
  9. Billboards Appeal to Pro-Life and Pro-Choice Advocates Following Death of Dr. George Tiller For Immediate Release: June 2, 2009 Contact: Lindsay Rajt 757-622-7382 Wichita, Kan. -- With the debate between pro-choice and pro-life adherents rekindled following the shocking murder of abortion provider Dr. George Tiller at a Wichita church on Sunday, PETA plans to place two billboards in the city. One features the text "Pro-Life? Go Vegetarian" and the other reads, "Pro-Choice? Choose Vegetarian." The group hopes that the ads will help Wichita residents on both sides of the controversy find common ground in concern for the suffering of billions of living beings horrifically abused on factory farms and in slaughterhouses. Why should people with such diverse views all adopt a vegetarian diet? On today's factory farms, animals are crammed by the thousands into filthy, windowless sheds, wire cages, metal crates, and other confinement systems. They are fed drugs that make them grow at an accelerated rate (many animals even become crippled under their own unnatural weight) and keep them alive in such filthy conditions. Eventually, the animals are crowded onto trucks and are transported to slaughter over many miles through all weather extremes. Once at the slaughterhouse, animals are often still conscious as their bodies are skinned or hacked apart or as they are plunged into the scalding-hot water of defeathering or hair-removal tanks. "People who are pro-choice shouldn't choose cruelly produced foods, just as pro-life folks shouldn't support deadly slaughterhouses," says PETA Vice President Bruce Friedrich. "It's time for everyone to reject violence and live up to their ideals--if you're truly acting out of a desire to end suffering, start with what you put on your plate." For more information, visit PETA.org. Sounds like PETA doesn't care what you do with your baby as long as no animal was injured.
  10. Based on the Vick and Stallworth convictions, Obama should get 5-10 years imprisonment.
  11. I think all this talk about majority text and Textus Receptus is nonsense. Most Christians would have no idea what you're talking about, especially the KJV thumpers. I'm not putting down any argument about where the versions come from. I just don't think it applies to the original question.
  12. A lot of people grew up with thee and thou and shalt. If your Bible doesn't read like that, then it must be straight from Satan. I think it will take a couple of generations to break the KJV hold. I will say that the KJV is probably the most poetic and graceful read of the various versions. I mostly read the NIV, but if I want to get a more literal translation, I use the NASB.
  13. Yes. I'm not sure if it would be subject to FICA and Medicare.
  14. updated 59 minutes ago WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court has turned down a challenge to the Defense Department policy forbidding gays and lesbians from serving openly in the military, granting a request by the Obama administration. The court said Monday that it will not hear an appeal from former Army Capt. James Pietrangelo II, who was dismissed under the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy. The federal appeals court in Boston earlier threw out a lawsuit filed by Pietrangelo and 11 other veterans. He was the only member of that group who asked the high court to rule that the Clinton-era policy is unconstitutional. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31168203
  15. As part of a health insurance reform package now before Congress, some of the 164 million Americans who are covered by employer-provided health plans could be asked to give up at least part of the longstanding tax exemption granted to such compensation. It’s an idea likely to be met with howls of opposition if it makes it into the final version of health insurance legislation that President Barack Obama is pushing. The idea of limiting the tax break for employer-provided insurance gained momentum last week, when Obama told senators that he’d consider it as one ingredient of the health insurance reform bill he wants Congress to pass by early August, when the Senate starts a one-month recess. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31106408
  16. Unions COULD be good for both employees and businesses. Unfortunately, too many unions choose to be good for themselves.
  17. I'm now hearing that the union ownership of GM was a payoff to Obama's union supporters.
  18. Amazing that I only read one comment that pointed out that the article was from Pravda. No one has concern that Obama and friends are doing everything the Soviets ever hoped for?
  19. Dang! I need to choose between Slaton, Tomlinson and Brees. Can I keep all 3? :sssh:
  20. It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people. True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists. Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters. http://english.pravda.ru/opinion/columnists/107459-0/
