It may have been a mandatory media timeout.

Does Bell County wish they could turn back time?
When are they going to announce McCreary as the coach?

Does Bell County wish they could turn back time?
Maybe some good can still come from this whole fiasco, such as the Superintendent being shown the door. In my opinion, the school system will not be on the right course until that happens. The football program will bounce back, too much tradition there for it not to.

Transfers impacting Regional Champions
South Laurel had Andrew Griffith transfer in this year. He was a starter on Williamsburg's regional championship team last year and is a huge addition to this year's South Laurel team.

South Laurel/Christian County predictions (Sweet 16 1st Round)
They have pretty good size in Taylor(6'9") and Griffith(6'5"). Griffith was a starter on Williamsburg's Sweet 16 team last year before transferring to South Laurel this year. The other starters are guards, Jared Grubb leads the team in scoring while Ryan Anders and JJ Ramey are both solid young players with a lot of upside.

Knox Central 71 North Laurel 69 3OT (13th Region Quarterfinals)
I agree that this was not really an upset. North Laurel and Knox Central are probably the 4th and 5th best teams in the region behind South Laurel, Clay Co. and Harlan Co.

State Tournament - Bowling - Feb 11th & 12th
I know that Corbin lost to Taylor County in the girl's semifinals and that Taylor Co. then won in the finals, not sure who was the runner-up though.

Class of 2017 RB/FS Treyton Humfleet (Bell County) Highlights
Don't believe everything you hear, especially coming out of Bell Co. at this time. Humfleet is a special player though.

Corbin 69 South Laurel 66
Corbin was playing short handed tonight, but Andrew Taylor had a huge game and the Corbin bench had some kids really step up.

Is the KHSAA going to move some teams up and down in football class?
Corbin is just starting to get use to 3A and now may be headed to 4A. It looks like Rockcastle and Corbin would basically switch places.

Open Jobs
Greg is a good coach and a very good guy, hopefully if they do hire him, the Bell Co. fans will support him, being an ex-Redhound though, I'm just not sure if they would. He voluntarily left the head coaching ranks a few years ago due to family circumstances, so with his boys pretty much raised now, I guess he's ready to get back in. He applied for the Corbin opening a couple of years ago as well.

Corbin Home Games
What's ridiculous is how many people believe that urban legend. You would think that the refs wouldn't allow the opposing team to shoot more FT's than Corbin if they were trying to cheat. I'm pretty sure that Clay shot 11 or 12 more than the Redhounds when they played at Corbin. All it does is diminish the accomplishments of high school kids.

Discussion of the 2015 All BluegrassPreps.com Football Team
A player who would fit that bill would be Hernandez from Mayfield. I'm surprised he didn't make the cut over some who did.

Associated Press (AP) Boys Basketball Poll/Rankings
I'm not sure that I have ever seen Lynn Camp and Pineville receive votes in the same poll before. Lynn Camp lost by 33 to Breathitt Co. and Pineville lost by 37 to Bracken Co, neither of which received any votes. It's also interesting to see South Laurel and North Laurel at #11 and #12.

Associated Press All-State Team
They must have looked in Laurel Co. too as there are 9 from there, 6 from North Laurel and 3 from South Laurel, who won a total of 2 games.

Associated Press All-State Team
Corbin had a player make honorable mention as a LB, a position he never played in his 4 years of high school.:idunno:

13th Region Rankings Dec. 28 - Jan. 4
Barbourville appears to be much too high, haven't really beaten any good teams yet. I would have them in the 8-9 range.

Clay County 55 Corbin 50
What on earth did the refs have to do with it? Corbin finally started hitting some shots and playing with the confidence needed to compete with a team as good as Clay Co. The game wasn't really in doubt though after Corbin only scored 2 points in the 3rd quarter which allowed Clay to get out to around a 20 point lead. Corbin shot less than 30% for the game and were outscored from the FT line by 15-20 points, but Clay Co. got rattled late and almost allowed Corbin to come back. Corbin missed way too many open looks to be able to pull off the upset.

Did he play at Pineville? If so, not sure how well that will go over with the fans.

Is Bell County still a top tier coaching job?
Well, even though Bell is a district rival, I hope they somehow get it right. If you are a Corbin fan, the teams that you want to beat are Bell Co. and Middlesboro, and it just wouldn't be the same if Bell is not at the level or at least close to the level that they have been at for the last 20+ years.
