Clay wins the Cumberland Falls Invitational over Corbin. Clay had a 20 point lead with 3 minutes to go and the refs decided to make things really interesting, either way Clay dominates the game. Trey Farmer leads clay with 18 and named MVP. Blake Smith, Wes Wolfe, Logan Gabbard and Will Sexton named all tournament.

What on earth did the refs have to do with it? Corbin finally started hitting some shots and playing with the confidence needed to compete with a team as good as Clay Co. The game wasn't really in doubt though after Corbin only scored 2 points in the 3rd quarter which allowed Clay to get out to around a 20 point lead.

 

Corbin shot less than 30% for the game and were outscored from the FT line by 15-20 points, but Clay Co. got rattled late and almost allowed Corbin to come back. Corbin missed way too many open looks to be able to pull off the upset.

Refs, where terrible, they called 12 fouls on Clay in the last 3 mins while allowing Corbin to get away with murder. Clay is 20 points better on a neutral floor any night.

 

Corbin kids plays as hard as anyone , they just dont have the talent this year. And Coach P gets the most out of them, but if you dont think the refs closed the gap in this one you need to take off those rose colored glasses
