What's ridiculous is how many people believe that urban legend. You would think that the refs wouldn't allow the opposing team to shoot more FT's than Corbin if they were trying to cheat. I'm pretty sure that Clay shot 11 or 12 more than the Redhounds when they played at Corbin.

 

All it does is diminish the accomplishments of high school kids.

This post is correct. I was sitting by some Clay Co. fans during the finals of the CFIT. I heard them say "we will be lucky to get out of here with a one point win tonight." This after winning by 30+ over the Hounds just a few days earlier in Manchester. By the way, the biggest home court advantage I ever witnessed was in Clay during the Keith years. But that's beside the point.

I believe that this mentality that visiting teams have coming to play Corbin actually works to the Hounds advantage, not because of the refs, but because of the visiting teams' belief that they are going to get hosed.
