  1. I take exception to BGBirds referring to guys at small schools as "top flight". To be a "top flight" player, speed and size are part of the equation. You can separate it out and say this guy was "top flight" minus a few key characteristics.
  2. I love Goose. I love his heart. My comments weren't directed at him. I think TM is getting a steal.
  3. If you lack size and/or speed you are not a "top flight" player - whatever that is.
  4. Mountain Ref likes Led Zepplin, Skynyrd, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Poison??? Given some of your conservative (dare I say ultra conservative positons) I am surprised.
  5. Bring back "Up with People"
  6. Certainly one way to look at it. Again, I don't think there is a right or wrong answer, but my guess is that the Stanley kid would enjoy playing with his peers and his peers would enjoy having him.
  7. There is no right or wrong answer; however, my position would be that unless the subject player is a key contributor (starter or first one or two off the bench) then I think they should have the opportunity to play in the Freshman tourney. You are only a freshman once and kids look forward to and enjoy playing with their peers. From my experience even the kids who have played Frosh ball all year want their peers moved down. It is the parents that have an issue. For the kid who has played all year on the freshman team and gets displaced by someone moving down for the tourney, they have been very fortuante to have received the PT they have to date.
  8. So to conclude.... When PC goes on the road they get "homered". When anyone goes to PC, although it may feel like you are getting "homered" rest assured their officials have no agenda they are just bad. I am sure the coaches, players, and fans of the Northern Kentucky Middle School Basetball League feel much better the next time they have to make the trip to Sharp. Who says we can't accomplish anything on BGP?
  9. Before you were saying they were "sketchy", which I don't know what your definition of that is, but I was certainly reading that to mean either were favoring PC or had an agenda. Now you are saying they just aren't very good. Which is it or maybe they are bad and "sketchy"? When PD got "homered" at IHM were the officals just bad or were they "sketchy"?
  10. I have seen very very few middle school games, at the high school level no one gets "hommered" simply because they are the visiting team (at least in NKY I don't believe they do). So why does it happen at the MS level? More specifically why does it happen at Sharpe (I would ask the same of IHM if someone was participating in the discussion)?
  11. What does that mean? Really??? Why would that be?
  12. Many people thought that when Rupp was built it would be big enough to meet the ticket demands of the public, however, obviously that is not the case. If the "Big House" can't meet the demand for tickets of the University of Michigan's faithful, it would be impossible to build a basketball arena capable of doing this for the Big Blue Nation. Bottom line demand exceeds supply by an incredible margin. If you can't land a ticket to a UK game now, my guess is you probably wouldn't be able to with another 7-12,000 seats.
  13. Is there even a question what you do???? I think it is pretty obvious.
  14. Maybe, but it has been stated that the younger Sullivan is enrolled in Newport Schools now.
  15. . Based on that comment, your relationship is distant at best.
  16. I would suggest: http://www.thepublicanrestaurant.com Unique Chicago place.
  17. I would think the attendance numbers are disappointing to the KHSAA. Perfect weather and three local BG teams do not equal an uptick in attendance.
  18. Obviously yesterdays Mayfield/Hazard game was a big one, what are some other big state title game upsets that cone to mind?
  19. Very interesting that people are not even considering Pike (except Raiderbird) in the top 10 of NKY QB's all time. He might be the highest recruited kid to every come out of NKY and he played on team where he had very little for team success (an absolutely miserable defense not to mention little protection), however, people in this thread prefer to rank kids whose teams had more overall success. I know Pike has his issues and they have been well documented, but guys who make a living ranking and recrutiing high school players say he is the best that NKY has ever produced. Wonder what they see that the posters in this thread don't?
