Beechwood Field House

Featured Replies

Beechwood's athletic field house will be opening before the end of the month. With this facility, Beechwood will go from one of the most cramped and challenging weight room/locker rooms to state of the art facilities. From the Beechwood website:

The lower level opens up toward the football field and the upper level opens up on the backside toward the baseball field. The field house will include four locker rooms, four coach offices, 2 training rooms, a weight room, a fitness room, and two outdoor unisex restrooms on the backside of the upper level on the baseball side of the building.

Congrats to all involved in making this great facility a reality, from Superintendent Miller and the school board to Coach Rash to the athletic foundation!

That looks impressive. I like how it looks from the bleacher side of the football field and the backdrop it will give on game night.

Very nice. What was the cost?

I am not sure of the cost. This athletic building is just part of a major reconstruction of the entire elementary school and cafeteria. The elementary was deteriorating, had reached a level 5 status (lowest level) by the state's standards and was out of building code compliance in many areas.

It is very cool how they set the building up with the lower level football locker and weight rooms facing out to the football field and the upper level locker rooms and cardio facing to the baseball/soccer field.

Well done! That is something to very proud of....:thumb:

Nice addition for the Tigers.

Now if they would just spend a little of that $ on the football seating. State of the art field and training facilities need decent seating. Beechwood's number of seats and quality was suprisingly poor considering the new facility and the field. Congrats, it looked like it would be very nice when I visited in late November

Very, very nice! Just another example of how top notch academics can and do coexist with top notch athletics!

Nice addition....tuition must be going up to cover the cost, since their enrollment has stayed the same.

Obviously the football and baseball team benefit, but do the female student athletes at Beechwood benefit from this project?

Female athletes at Beechwood work side by side with football now ...

Plus .. this is an all sports facility ... the girls teams benefit in the exact same manner as the boys.

Yeah ... because there are just SO MANY tutition students at Beechwood to begin with.

Not to mention ... it would take at least a 100 years to pay for this building even if out of district tuition was used to pay for this building.
