No one can predict the future, but this group of kids for Beechwood are very special. There are a lot of pieces to the puzzle in that class.

I think that frosh team was comprised of the just graduated seniors plus a few current seniors like Nussbaum.

I am no expert, but my guess is she could have played D-1 in soccer too. She is a pretty special talent.

What are your thoughts on what the problems are?

Other than Blessed Sacrament, does Beechwood consistently get catholic grade school kids from any other catholic school?

How many boys are in the 8th grade class at Blessed Sacrament on average? Do all of these kids go to Cov. Cath or do a percentage end up at Beechwood? I realize it probably varies year to year. In my experience, I have seen lots of families who send their childrent to catholic grade schools, but public high schools.

Do you think there is a pool of kids that have the potential to go to either school or is that a myth? Basically guru's argument was based upon a belief there was such a pool.

I would state again regardless of what injustices you think other programs have done to yours, they aren't "your kids" and that thought process is silly. As far as your reply about kids recruiting kids: I had no input into the elementary and hugh school I attended. My kids had no input into the elementary school or high school they attended. So neither my friends nor their friends had any impacted on education decisions. Youth peer pressure never really has impacted adult decisions in the two generations of my family that I have been a part of.

"your kids" - I have HUGE issues with any coach or program who would think kids belong to them.

Just read Naussbaum out 3-4 weeks. Sounds like trouble for Tigers.

A marquee game at Beechwood is very different than a marquee game at some of the better biggers schools (Ryle, Cov. Cath., and Highlands)

The biggest attaction to Beechwood (over schools like Ryle, Cov. Cath, and Highlands) would be the ability to play every down of every play, while still playing for a top program. While there maybe a few every down players at Ryle or even Cov. Cath, my guess is that Beechwood would have more, as would, NCC and Holy Crosss. I do think the schedule is very unattractive at Beechwood.
