NKY Frosh Title game, how will it be decided?

Featured Replies

Dixie has one loss and will probably finish with only one loss. Highlands is in the same boat. Boone has two losses (Simon Kenton) and one of them was to Beechwood which doesn't count for purposes of standings because Beechwood is a small division school. If Boone (and I really stress if) beats CovCath and Cooper to close out the season each of Boone, Dixie, and Highlands will have one loss in the big school division. If this happens who plays in the final game?

To add to this:

Highlands lost to Boone and beat Dixie

Dixie lost to Highlands

Boone beat Highands

Boone's big school loss was to Simon Kenton

Dixie and Boone did not play

Taking Boone's side in this, neither Dixie or Highlands beat them and both Dixie and Highlands have a loss to one of the teams they are tied with. I saw the three way tie thread but no way that should apply in this circumstance. Anyone?

Well, provided BC wins out and Highlands wins out the its Highlands at BC. I guess.............

For some reason Guru you forgot to mention that BC lost to you know who. LOL

Either way it doesnt really matter to Highlands as long as they win out, they are in.

I added Simon above as a Boone loss. I was trying not to muddy the water in tiebreaker but I will add it there too.

If HHS, Boone, and Dixie wins out, then Boone and Dixie should have to play each other the week before the Championship. Sorry that it would be over the game limit for either team, but that's not HHS's problem. Who sets the schedules? Seriously IDK? If it comes down to that, then there is no other way of doing it.

I tend to agree with this logic but I doubt it happens.

Boone should def play Dixie. Then I say Dixie v Highlands rematch..

The logistics of having Dixie play Boone is rather simple. If Boone beats CovCath next week, the schedule for 10/20 should be changed.

Instead of Dixie playing Ryle for the second time and Boone playing Cooper, they play each other. There wouldn't even be a need for an additional game.

Cooper and Ryle could play each other ( for a second time ) so each team would still play a full schedule.

Why should HHS automatically get in Championship?

Why should HHS automatically get in Championship?

Because they beat Dixie and they only have one loss..But they have to beat Ryle next week though..

Because if Dixie and Boone play each other, one will lose

I agree with this 100%!

First these teams need to take care of business next week! In the meantime Guru, get this done!

I will suggest this to Boone's Frosh Coach. We need someone to get on the horn with Highlands and Dixie too.

While CCH's team didn't knock my socks off tonight I do think they are even with Boone. Boone's pass D was not very good and while CCH's passing game isn't great it is diverse and that's going to be a problem for Boone. I think CCH would come in as the favorite.

Is it safe to say that if Highlands beats Ryle they are definitely in the title game?
