What PG said is correct: East and West don't get out of school until almost 4pm and then have to wait on buses to run their routes. I think East and West both play the late first round game at both Lincoln and Pulaski, although there usually isn't a change for the semifinals if East or West is playing at Lincoln.

Jeffersontown has knocked Butler out of the region four times in the last six years. I think I like Butler here but it seems really hard to eliminated J-town in the postseason.

These two have met just twice in the region tournament with North Laurel winning in both 2006 and 2022. North is looking to make a return trip to the state tournament and their fourth trip in five years while Bell is looking to get to state for the first time since 2011 and only the second time since 1980.

These two have met nine times in the 14th Region tournament, with Hazard winning seven. Powell's two wins came in the first round in 2002 and way back in 1943. They've met once in the region final, an 87-64 Hazard win in 1955. That Hazard club would go on to win the state championship.

I'm thinking about going to the semifinals tomorrow. I've never been to a game at Breathitt but have been to a few 14th Region tournament games over the years. It's always intense!

Is this an upset? I'm always of the belief that the winner and runner-up in District 14 are the favorite and second favorite in the 4th Region tournament.
