EKU did that not Coach Hope. What was the final in the JC game?? 60+ to 30 something??? Happy when was it OUT OF REACH???? Why not bring those position coaches down to the field to COACH. Hart would do the same thing if young kids were in and we were winning big..... Remember the grass isn't always greener on the other side. I hope that Leon comes back next year:ylsuper:

And some of those old coaches got to play 11 regular season games and then a 3 game road to get to the Carpet??? Of course only one of the fore mentioned coaches got to the "Carpet" in that format:devil: Good Luck to East:thumb:

I see what you are saying but that aint the way it works... The person that reported this might not be associated, work in, a member school:confused: Then what do you do when a disgruntled fan reports from your school or another??? I just saw this allegation last night and was VERY suprised to hear it. My advise is to stop making it so public and let the people in charge take care of this matter.

Just wanted to let everyone else who replies to this post to see post #12 again. I hope it all works out for Johnson Central and the kid in question, but "paper work" should be in place to refute any allegation as soon as it happens. I think this will be a lesson learned at JC and after the KHSAA inquiry all will be fine in Eagleland.

I'll second that;) Matt Thomas is a fine young man and competitor. Of course he's had some help along the way from his family shaping him into what he is today. That being said, the sky is the limit of this kid and there is no doubt in my mind that Matt will achieve anything he sets his mind to:ylsuper:

I think Coach Harris said it best on the radio tonight when he quoted the newer logo on the side of the police cars here in Ashland....A Proud Past and a Bright Future.... And the same goes for this football program!

Ashland's Putnam Stadium is getting ready to get some TLC. The School Board has approved a committee of school employees, community members, and community leaders tasked with job of keeping the old gal true to its original construction and updating some other amenities. Although this process may take several years I can't wait to see what happens. By the way my votes go to Putnam, Highlands, H.R. Evans, and Vipperman "Death Valley".

Some big shoes to fill but I hope Trey Rogers can do it:thumb: I'll have to keep my eye on this young man:banana:

Yes, I believe it was. But its not "just" JV, IMO, to the kids or the coaches. JV is place where many players develop their skills and prepare to become varsity players. Is the "w" important at this level? Yes, I think so to a certain point and I'll leave it at that. What is insipiring to me is the fact that both teams could play younger players that might contribute to their teams next year. Dad of a DAWG, I can tell you for sure that there have been several good JV football games between Ashland and Lawrence County that had there been bands and fans there you would have thought it was Friday Night;) "JUST" a JV game? I question that comment? JV kids should have their time to shine too;)

As it looks right now....Yes, Ashland just might need to win both remaining District games to advance to the playoffs, but there is still a few weeks of football to be played. Note: Byan Station beat Montomery County.

No its NOT! Papers don't make that much money on individual paper sales. True a paper must sell but, advertisements are what make the bank for news papers. Think about it.... I'm one who is tried of hearing this worn out line. IMO the news paper here in Ashland does a good job of covering all the high schools in the area. Point is that sales have nothing to do with any ranking IMO.

My first, and only time at Highland's Stadium was when the Birds hosted Mason County in the State Semi's a few years back. I personally liked what I saw. Of course there were 2 pretty dag gone good football teams playing that night and the light snow falling only added to the aura, but I left thinking that Highlands had a unique place to play football. Of course the signage on the school was a suprise, but in my mind it was there for money the that was put into the program. Heck, maybe my Tomcats can get the chance to play there and see that Highland's home field is as unique and special as I think it is.... Could somebody post some pics???

Not true! It was 7-6 Woodford early in the 2nd quarter. Obviously by the final score, Ashland didn't finish the deal for the final 3 quarters but "dominated from the start"???? I'm not sure what picture your trying to paint Kingfish, but please try to keep it based on the facts, and that also goes for your insight on what Mr Thomas "deserves". I personally would love to see every senior at Ashland, or any school for the matter, have a winning and sucessful senior season, but that just isn't reality. Matt Thomas is a fine young man and I'm sure he can and will deal with these football set backs in a positive and constructive way. I think Matt deserves better than you telling him what he deserves:confused:

Welcome to the real world:creepy: Rock has had a great cast of players come through in the past 10+ years, but I'm sure that the Rocket coaches will find something that works on offense and they'll make a strong run the rest of the season and into the playoffs.
