  1. I'm drawing a blank, where is Carson from?
  2. Congrats to Coach Krumps. Those pictures are awesome!
  3. I have thought about this topic on several occasions -- not specific to Owensboro, but just comparing an above-average varsity boys' team to the WNBA. A couple questions need to be ironed out before you can really have this conversation, though. What size basketball do you use? Is there a shot clock? Is there a 10-second backcourt violation in the WNBA? Any other differences between the two games?
  4. Nick was arguably better than Doellman for Ryle during their regional championship run in '02 (Nick's senior year). Nick was an outstanding player (and is still pretty solid). He's probabaly 6'6'' or 6'7''.
  5. Lye was a little earlier. He was 2002, I think. Maybe '01. I believe he went to Hanover and had a decent career there.
  6. Obviously this is great news for the Covington Catholic community, although I don't think anyone really anticipated him to leave. Scott has proven to be a valuable asset both on & off the court & we are fortunate to have him on our side. With that said, I think Scott has done such a fabulous job of implementing his system that it would function without him, too. If Scott had left for greener pastures, I think Tony Bacigalupo, Frederick & company would have taken control & the transition would've been relatively smooth. Just my $.02.
  7. I'm more amused by the 'NBA great Nate Robinson' line.
  8. For those citing attendance as a justification one way or the other: I'd argue that the ability to stream the game online has affected attendance more so than the day of the game.
  9. There are also lots of options similar to Netflix, like Amazon Prime. It depends on what you like to watch. If it's movies, you'll probably be better off with Netflix but might be something worth considering.
  10. Thanks for the insight. Sounds like the Colonels will have their hands full. The one area where I believe CCH is most susceptible is in the post. Schuh is big (6'5'' or so) but I don't consider him much of a low post player. Romes battles, but he's 6'2''. Which D1 schools are looking at Weaver?
  11. I know nothing about Doss. How deep are they? How big? Any D1 talent?
  12. Tough break. I really feel for the kids on the team, particularly the kid that was the ineligible transfer...but how does this slip through the cracks?
  13. Congrats to both teams, Campbell County & Covington Catholic. The Camels have back to back 10th region championships, which is certainly something to be proud of. This NKY poster was a bit disappointed to see two NKY teams meet in the 1st round, but such is life. Congrats to the Camels on a great season & kudos to Covington Catholic for taking care of business.
  14. Not to derail the thread even farther off course, but it appears both posters @CALL IT LIKE I KNOW and @HeGotGame are Campbell County posters...
  15. How deep does Owensboro go, and how big are they?
  16. I watched last week's episode earlier tonight. Unfortunately, we are a week behind because my wife can't stay up late enough. Excellent show, though. I have tonight's episode on the DVR & am dying to watch it but won't...
  17. Sounds like a fun job, how do I sign up?
  18. My 1st BGP friend. Although we never met in person, we exchanged a lot of PM's over the years. I know he fought hard with a lot of different medical issues. May he rest in peace and be able to "twist" in heaven.
  19. If you're only considering the last 10 years of 9th region history, then yes, Covington Catholic is absolutely on the verge of the greatest dynasty ever.
