Let's get this started. I'd love to hear what Doss brings to the table. Is this the team with the young group of studs who all play with Spiece Gators AAU?

CVH has a hot hand and I would expect him to be the bell cow for the Colonels in this one.

Colonels appear very focused and with Rupp experience on their side I'll take them in a tight game.

Covcath 67

Doss 64

I agree that the experience factor will play a big part in this game, as well as coaching, as I believe Ruthsatz and staff are one of the best at the tourney. Cov Cath by 6.

No, that's Fern Creek. Doss is very experienced.

Poll?

I added a poll. When is the game?

Some really good match ups in this one with CVH/Theobald v Gray/Weaver along with Jefferson v Schuh.

Friday at 1:30

Two ways to look at this game from the Doss perspective: a) last night we didn't play our best, but we eeked out a win, and like CovCath beating Clay Co. by 2 in the first round last year, now we are ready to roll!! b) if we play like that again on Friday we are going to get smacked by the defending state champs.

Doss has to be able to turn CovCath over with their press and their half-court traps or they are going to get beat; their half-court offensive execution and shot selection isn't good enough to win this game. Doss' bigs need a quick lesson in walling-up and not trying to put every shot into the band or they are going to all need their 5 fouls.

Contrast in styles, to be sure, and CovCath's ability to handle the heat will be the deciding factor on who plays Saturday night.

I expect Doss to play much better tomorrow. Should be a very good game.

I'm predicting 5.......5 more nose bleeds for me because of getting a seat above the ones I had last night.

Seriously......could the tickets I bought from the school be any higher last night? Now I know.

Haven't seen Doss...or heard of them from any other sport....so can't make an informed decision. Hoping for a good game with the ending of my buying a ticket for the weekend......will leave it at that.

I'll be eating up some bandwidth watching tomorrow. Sure liked how CCH looked second half.

Expert analysis Mentsch !! :thumb:

I think Cov Cath has a chance to win it all. Believe they will win this game.
