Right. I have no issue not starting the runner in the 9th. You needed 2 runs, so stealing 2nd does little. I'd have liked to see them put pressure on more early, but base runners were also at a premium, so not tons of chances.

I agree hitting him behind Elly is a bad move, but as far as the 9th, how do you handle that? They had burned some guys already and were kind of stuck position-wise with who you could hit, I think anyway, I was half-watching with a sick kid at home. McLain is a better glove at 2B over anyone else you would put there, minus maybe Steer, but he's been so good at 1B you struggle with that then. I can deal with a light hitting 2B playing most days if he offers an advantage with the glove, but he can't hit above 8-9 if you're doing that. As for tonight, I don't hate their chances. Skenes only goes 5.5 innings on average in his career, hasn't gone into the 7th since August, and has gone 8.2 innings in his last 2 starts combined. They'll have a chance to win minus an implosion from Greene.

The answer to this is no, they wouldn't. Beechwood has bounced has beaten the tar out of Campbell County for a couple year running. Not a great example here since SK already plays Campbell as well, but does point out that simply scheduling 6A isn't the winning ticket.

I see that now and see how it would be hard to follow. My point was that the chances of a law suit sticking from the schools to the videographers is just a likely as vice versa. It's a slippery slope the courts aren't going to dive into. If they do, and the premise is they should be allowed to take pictures wherever because it is a public funded field, school and even team, then you open a can of worms on even charging admission or telling fans to stay in the stands.

This is happening less at some NKY high schools. I've seen one major local station turned away at a NKY high school last year.

It would go just as far as the videographers attempt, imo. Based on this logic, we shouldn't charge to get in to events either, and once everyone is in for free they should have free rein of the place.

Being someone who watches every night, neither surprised me. I've said since he came up that he isn't a shortstop. The longer they run him out there the longer they delay his true potential and he isn't here forever, so change it yesterday. Matt McLain is the SS on the Reds today, it may be Arroyo in 2 years.

It's education in 2025 and he knows tons of educators. He'll be hired in minutes, if a spot isn't lined up already.

I think a few of those would be no problem at all, but the biggest non-problem would probably be the principal being on board with him coaching elsewhere. Business teachers aren't exactly beating down the doors these days, so when you find one with experience, you hire them. I do agree, a lot has to fall in place for it to happen, though.

I'm on the opposite side of most on this, which is interesting because I called Nick out early on for it, but the fact that he has stayed the course, actually gotten a couple of answers, and reported it for all to see makes me appreciate the effort.

I'm for it. Some of the early games are so dull and really a drag to watch. Set my clock around this game one weekend, Champions Classic the next. Mix in some quality NFL and college football games...

I always wonder this as well. Phil Jackson won a lot... the man coach MJ AND Kobe. Bill Belichick is pretty pedestrian when Tom Brady isn't his QB. The list goes on and on. Definitely an arrogant dude, especially later on. Made it hard to root for him.
