  1. Agree! I was talking to family about this the other day. Lots of weird quirks. Travel is well advanced now, but why did they go to Baltimore, fly home for 3 days and then fly back to Washington DC? None of it makes sense.
  2. Agree completely. Go 3 and 3 or better and you’re in a great spot. Just don’t blow it!
  3. When will this one hit?
  4. 9 times out of 10, just shut up.
  5. Reds need to score early tonight and jump on the young Braves starter. Weaver gives up runs anyway, but the Braves pound pitchers that fit his profile.
  6. I think this speaks to how tough it is to have an extended winning streak in the MLB. A lot of luck goes into it as well.
  7. Spot on. NL West may end up with 3 teams in. Division is the route this year.
  8. It is better to be hot then, but the fact remains that they’re a few weeks away from the decision on whether to make a trade or not.
  9. I’d agree. All depends on what they do at the deadline. Rumors of them considering selling recently and MLB channel questioning Counsel being on the hot seat.
  10. I think that this will depend a lot on the Cubs of all teams. I’ve seen reports recently predicting the Brewers to be sellers at the deadline and gear for an all in attempt next year. The Pirates played way above their level early and are plummeting back to earth. The Cardinals are awful.
  11. I know exactly what you mean, but I don’t think that was last year. MLB made an agreement to fix this a while back. I used to have the same issue but used the app to listen to games while grass cutting last year.
  12. It was just in March that Marty Brennaman called this team awful and said it would take a divine intervention to compete for the division. In his defense, we all thought the same.
  13. If we are going to the point of changing districts because teams aren’t very competitive in it we’re going to be changing a lot.
  14. This is true. You really can’t speak enough about the job Maile and Casali have done with a young, ever changing and at times struggling pitching staff. The other night on the radio Brantley discussed this a bit and even pointed out that it really exposes Stephenson’s struggles in the area at times. It puts the Reds in a tough place of dealing with growing pains by letting Stephenson learn in the fire or doing what is most successful everyday. This is true too. Diaz and Sims had gone consecutive days and Bell will rarely push a reliever to 3 day. Giabut had thrown 20+ the day before which Bell also likes to avoid the day after with that. The good news is it sets up a really fresh bullpen the rest of the way in KC.
  15. There are no state mandated 30 day wait periods for coaching positions. It must be a school policy.
  16. FACTS! However my point was more to the fact that schools make it nearly impossible to fail now. I work in one everyday and have seen this firsthand.
  17. I think a kid being able to have continuous academic eligibility issues given todays standards speaks volumes.
  18. I think he’ll be fine, kids pretty tough. Plus by the time he’s on campus QBs may be wearing flags.
  19. I mean, Larson wasn’t really an all-world #1 draft pick. All draft picks in baseball are a tossup and when you get down in the teens or below it’s even more of a toss up. Elly wasn’t a draft pick at all. Elly is viewed as a true 5-tool guy with elite speed, which Larson never was. Everyone fell in love with Larson’s 400+ ft triple A homers. Elly was also recently viewed as the top prospect in all of baseball by some important names, but Larson only reached that status within the organization. I do agree that we have to wait and see how it all pans out, but in the meantime I’m going to have a blast being a fan in exciting times.
