  1. If one year at Dayton and 6 at Bellevue, that adds up to 7 years. You said 9 in the other post. Where are the other 2 years?
  2. Oddly enough, I think that’s exactly how I’d rank them as far as my thoughts of “good hire”. Without sitting in an interview, etc. of course. One thing we all need to also consider, Pence has coached for several years under Randy Borchers. Borchers is the brother of current Ludlow superintendent Mike Borchers.
  3. I don’t hate it, but it wasn’t what I expected. If you want him you could have moved back again and got more picks. The Bengals saw what last year was like as far as pass rush, even before Trey was out. DEs we have aren’t getting younger and they found a long athletic dude that fits the Taylor/Lou mold. You can never have enough DE depth in todays game. I've seen people going on about skip this guy and sign Young this off-season but 1. That’s an if until you do and 2. If he balls out to the point we want him this year, we won’t afford him with extensions we need.
  4. A guy like Mayer (I don't think he will be there) would be really hard to pass up, but I struggle with a TE in the first round. Those guys take 2-3 years before they really contribute and the Bengals are entering a point where first and second round guys need to contribute NOW.
  5. I agree on 2-years and move up, but I think going away from home still allows him a "cushion" to fall back on if he doesn't move up. The portal let's him come home and dominate near his hometown with a great chance to play in the tournament. If things REALLY fizzled, he can still fall back on TMU, Georgetown, etc.
  6. There’s the series win I promised you bunch of fools.
  7. Not off to a great start! Lodolo better adjust to moving hitters eyes up and down. He’s got a nasty sweeper, but things can’t stay at one “level0 in the MLB.
  8. I won't disagree with that a bit. I'd still want the cognitive test, but I think we always "hire" what we are comfortable with. Contractor for your house, lawn maintenance, NFL QB, etc. Unfortunately, "comfortable" can mean some extremely different things for certain people.
  9. I can agree with the bolded! Bring back George Grande too. I think Brantley has improved a ton and is over all of them, and it's not particularly close.
  10. I could certainly see it being manipulated, but I can see that with anything else too. Lamar was only playing against college kids in a gimick college offense, etc.
  11. I had the same thought. Actually, it happened so quick, I went back and watched to see which side took the impact.
  12. The improvement in safety of Nascar never ceases to amaze me. That kind of impact and they walk away is unreal to me.
  13. I guess I'll start this thread and get the Reds in a more positive direction since none of you are any good at it! The Reds return home to start a series with the AL West leading Texas Rangers. The series starts with a 6:40 first pitch tonight, 6:40 tomorrow and a 12:35 get away day before the Reds first off day in 20 straight days! Lodolo rights the ship tonight and the Reds will end up taking 2/3 from the Rangers as they head into the aforementioned off day and a trip to Oakland.
  14. I always wonder if there is any data comparing career success to these scores, but to answer the question, if I'm an owner committing tens of millions to a top of the draft player I want my crew to evaluate every single aspect of data we can. Game film, cognitive testing, how many times he got in fights in school, how many infected ingrown toenails he's had, etc...
  15. Hunter Greene sets up scholarships for underprivileged students. Greene donates thousands of cleats to youth program. What a jerk Greene appears to be.... Barry Larkin wasn't all sunshine and roses either. Did you know he once made a scene about a specific area to sit/wait at Montgomery Inn on the river? Even asking if they were aware he was Barry Larkin? Larkin was my childhood idol, I love him, but that screams arrogance way more than allowing your house to be filmed. I remember your argument about India's hair... I had more of a chance getting behind that one than this one.
  16. I'm not going to lie... this is laughable. Sometimes I wonder why you tune in to the Reds at all, it's constantly a complaint about today's game and players. The Reds deserve very little praise anyway, but knocking Hunter Greene for anything off the field is comical. It was one of the top reasons he was a top draft pick on so many boards.
  17. Because they’re young and attractive single females in your area that need love, @sportsfan41. Geez…
  18. Whether it's true or not, if the Skyline marketing team is smart they give Burrow a big payday to advertise for them as a Cincy chili convert.
