Murray didn’t turn it over and ran it at will. They were crippled with turnovers the last 3 weeks similar to Tilghman. It means so much!

6 turnovers from Murray tonight. Actually had more yardage than Crittenden. Turnovers got hoptown beat tonight as well and mayfield beat as badly as they did by McCracken. Can’t win games that way. They are the great equalizer!

Murray and Beechwood in 94 had probably the most controversial state title game.

In my eyes Mayfield has no one else to blame but themselves, "no scapegoats"! 4th and 1 in the redzone with under a minute up 3. Then not coverting and allowing a team to go 86 yards in under 40 seconds. That was at best a 50/50 call that needed to get made. You don't want the game to end on a controversial call. It allowed both teams one more opportunity to make a play to win a championship. Somerset did and Mayfield didn't. BOTTOM LINE!

Christian County has to be one of the best 0-11 teams in state history. I can never remember a harder schedule on western ky football history. Absolute gauntlet!

Would have said Murray until the injury train hit. Never sleep on Beechwood.

I assume Catholic has a good offense. But anybody would against the 8 wins that that they have. The one good team on their schedule they put up 7. IMO they are an overrated team. But they will beat Apollo

I am confident that Mayfield is better than Hoptown and Logan. Both teams have had some issues on defense at times. Mayfield expects to win every game and has played better competition. Give me the Cards Mayfield- 35 Madisonville- 21

Rain is in the forecast which could shake it up for 2 teams that love to throw. Murray does have a nice offense that could potentially keep things close. I just dont think Murray will be able to stop the cards and Mayfield will get some stops. Turnovers will make this key. Mayfield-56 Murray- 35

Heck of a battle here! These two teams always play a tough even matched game. There is a lot riding on this one. With that being said I think Murray just has a few more weapons that Caldwell with a four year starting qb that is having a great year. Murray - 35 Caldwell- 28

I'd say district 1 right now, but we will have to see how it shapes out. Mayfield and Caldwell will tell us a lot this week. Probably will have Mayfield as the top top team with Murray and Caldwell not to far behind in a war for 2nd place. Crazy to think that one of those two teams will go home in the first round. Then the neighboring district outside of Ocath is trash.

I agree! Man Owensboro and Ocath must be loving life living in cupcake city within their district. Hurts them both in the long run.
